Residence Inn by Marriott Coconut Grove, Coconut Grove

We have a extended family group of 12 that stayed here before a cruise and after a cruise. Had 3 different rooms. I stayed with 5 others in the group in a 2 bedroom suite. It was nice. The entire staff here is great. The staff at the front desk is very helpful. They gave us information on places to eat certain kinds of food, and places to go. Also gave us specific directions on how to get places. Some in our group went down to the Coconut Grove night scene. A short walk from the hotel. The free breakfast in the mornings is awesome. Not your usual stale donuts, coffee and juice. The have a waffle machine, fruit toppings for the waffles, potatoes, sausage patties, biscuits, sausage gravy, grits, oatmeal, cereals, breads, etc. We really enjoyed this place and would stay here again if we are ever in the Miami area again to visit or go on another cruise. The only problem we had was that the maid service doesn't speak or understand much English. Fortunately, for us, we had people in our group that speak Spanish. Once they understood what we wanted they were more than happy to help us.

Stay in a suite and enjoy the happy hour food. Outside entrance to room and slow elevator a little pet peeve. It was under renovation and the couch had an odor but the room was more than comfortable.
