What a nightmare

There was nothing I liked about this hotel. I even filed a complaint with the better business bureau that they hotel did not respond to. When we arrived someone was stuck on the elevator and the room was horrible. The bathroom door would not shut and the both beds sunk in the middle. As we were leaving my husband noticed the fire alarm was not turned on. We called the local fire marshall who was aware and said they had been working with them. We went immediately to find another hotel. I lost all of the money we used to rent in this hotel for a week, as they would not return my money, even though we never even stayed 1 night. Do not believe the good reviews, I'm not sure who wrote them, but when we complained to Ching (the owner, general manager) I was told I was harrassing his employees. I have never receives such bad customer service in my life. The place also had a bad smell, so much so that our window was open to air it out. We had to carry luggage up the stairs and had not towels in the bathroom, we checked in late in the afternoon, well after check in time. All of the doors were propped open, so anyone could have walked in the side door and went up the stairs without any detection. I will never book on line again, it was the worst experience of my life. I help people find jobs for a living and hate to see anyone out of work, but this hotel needs to be closed down, no one should be fooled by the Microtel name, they were no help either, we called the corporate office who told us we would have to handle things with the local office, however when you call there they say you are harrassing. Go some where else, it may cost a little more, but it is very worth it.
