Avoid - Pick Another Place To Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/09
Very noisy facility. Doors slamming, loud music / tv. Dirty - allow animals. Corridors smell - ?? animal urine. Animal feces on sidewalks. Animal food containers at entrances. Corridor carpeting many stains. Food pathetic - breakfast only stale bagels & sometimes muffins / apples / oranges / bananas. Lousy coffee. Not always available if you are late getting to meal. Breakfast area not maintained during serving time - dirty w/ coffee condiments spilled over counter. Animals allowed to be in public areas (laundry room) not on leash. Animals on leash tied to luggage cart in dining area. Conflicting info regarding housekeeping. Paperworks tells you one thing, display in room another. Have to clean your own room or pay extra for housekeeping services. Can't get management to help you with any problems you may encounter. Must repeatedly ask management for things (ie, replace items not in room that should be, resolve maintenance issues, plumbing). Management has no concern for guests wellbeing.

Mixed!
By Darlene O, 05/25/07
I was at the hotel for a month and only had my room cleaned once. I actually vacuumed and changed the sheets and when the cleaning service came in they left the sheets on the ottoman in the room. The breakfast consists of tasteless bagels which are kept in a refrigerator and put out every morning and pretty bad coffee. They offer oranges and apples and that's about it. If you don't have a car you're pretty much stranded because of the distance from any store or eatery. The management is pretty nice and will go out of their way to help you, with the exception of 1 individual! There is a shuttle to the station, however, make sure you let them know the night before otherwise the van won't show up and they don't reimburse you if you have to take a cab.

Great rooms, too much noise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/13/07
I had a very bad experience with the Waltham ESD, let me tell you the good news first. The rooms are very nice, with comfortable beds, relatively new appliances and meticulous housekeeping. The downsides are: office building construction right next door, their high-speed wireless was abyssmally slow(dial-up speeds), their air conditioners make a loud metallic snap evertime the compressor kicks on and the breakfast they offer consists of plain lenders bagels and horrible coffee. An office bulding is being built right across the street, literally 200 ft away. Every morning at 6 AM, including saturday, I awoken by dump trucks backing up, dumping loads and making a complete racket.(sounded like alarm clocks beeping and then small detonations as the lid on the dump body would slam open and shut). The wifi is a known issue that they have been experiencing with their provider for weeks, I was counting on being able to do some online training videos, that never happened. Most nights I was lucky to even get onto MSN. I checked out 2 other rooms after 3 sleepless nights, all of their air conditioners make that horrible snap sound, if you dont sleep like the dead, this will without a doubt affect your sleep. Luckily the campus training program, which even warranted me staying at the hotel, provided breakfast because the coffee was awful and I dont particularly care for plain lenders bagels. Management was very understanding, but it doesnt negate the fact that I had the worst week of sleep ever. So there you have it, my 6-day experience at ESD of Waltham.

Value Questionable
By KevinC, 08/31/05
Rooms are small, housekeeping only every 3 days, only 1 person at desk so waits are long, no oven in the room, breakfast is very bear-bones, small lobby with minimal seating....bottom line, overpriced at $126 per night.

Perfect place for our stay
By EddieW, 05/31/05
The staff was very friendly and helpful. the computer in the lobby was great I was able to check-in and lock in my seats for my flight. The kitchen was well stocked with enough hardware and utensils to cook with. Easy on/off the highway. Neat little workout room. The beds are real comfy and the cable TV fine. The only thing that bugged me slightly was that the pool was not available at the time because of the switch over in ownership and I'd promised my child she could take a swim. Also, the breakfast was not adequately stocked at times. Otherwise, on my next trip to the Boston area I will definitely stay here.

This hotel met all our needs, the complementary breakfast was delicious, and the building was convenient to our destinations.

Delightful Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/04
The hotel is quiet, with everything you need, including a dish washer in the kitchen. There's high speed internect connection in the room if you are willing to pay. Otherwise, you can use the computer in the lounge. The room is clean and the staff is very helpful. No hassle, no nonsense service all around.
