Comfort Inn Ingleside, Ingleside

I've stayed in this hotel twice, both times quick business trips where I just needed a place to sleep. Service seems OK, rooms were clean but showing a little age, and the facilities are OK. The gym equipment was nicer than usual for a hotel in this range, mainly because it was new. Negatives: the first time I stayed, the room was damp when I checked in and so I got to sleep in clammy sheets all night. The second time, I had booked a non-smoking room and somehow that got lost in the process and they could not move me. The location is convenient to the local shipyards and the naval station. There are not a lot of places to eat in the immediate area, but if you go to Portland or Rockport, both within about 15 minutes, there is a bit more available. Corpus is a little further, but not too far to go if you are looking for something even better.

After pre-paying through Yahoo travel. This hotel still put a hold for the full amount when I checked in on my credit card. This hold lasted 7 days. The hotel staff was extremely rude when approached about this matter. One staff member even lied about being the manager.
