Motel 6, Meridian

I stayed for two nights and was welcomed from the time I checked in to leaving. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The bathroom was clean with no problems. The no smoking was refreshing with no smell in the building. I was treated with much professionalism from the service staff to the management while they did everything they possibly could to accomplish my needs while I stayed. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in this area. The previous negative reviews were totally unfounded. The price was unbeatable by any other motels also in the area.

This hotel owner must have hired a new manager. I didn't find any of the problems that were listed in previous reviews. My room was clean, the staff friendly, and the price is great. This property is much more upscale than the Motel 6 by the airport. The guests seem like normal people as well. Non of the no-tell motel crowd often found at other Motel 6 hotels.

"We're about to remodel." That was the excuse we got when we realized our $70 room for two was worse than most hotels in Tijuana. There were no fitted sheets, just flat sheets stretched over the worn out mattress and disgusting stained bed pad. All the linens, including towels, were yellow, stained, and threadbare and smelled dirty. The television didn't work at all. The awful fluorescent light fixture over one bed wouldn't go completely dark. The bath was full of body hair and the sink was not clean. There was no facial tissue in the empty holder in the bathroom and no extra toilet paper. The carpet was filthy, our "non-smoking" room reeked of stale smoke, and the advertised Internet access did not exist. And whether it was just psychosomatic or there really were things crawling around in the linens, we both started to itch immediately upon laying down. We checked in at 4am and were too tired to protest, but I can't believe that a chain I once trusted would tolerate having their brand on a location like this. Hands down the worst lodging experience I have ever had. Just sick. Even a business that is about to remodel must maintain reasonable facilities. I wish I knew who to ask for a refund three days later. I'm just going to make sure I post this same review on every site I can find.

I got chewed on seriously. Don't know what the hell they were, but didn't seem to be fleas. My welts were much bigger, more like bee stings, about a half dozen. Itch like a SOB, then infect later in the week. Took about 2 weeks to clear up. I don't like the idea of sharing some other stranges blood with these voracious creatures. Might as well sleep in a bed of used needels. Will not be going back there.
