Will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/10
Confirmed reservation rate was not honored (we were told we could stay somewhere else if we didn't wish to pay it). Requested a smoking room and was put in a fairly nice non-smoking room. When we got our smoking room it was like night and day. Burn holes in carpet and bedding, burn stains on almost all horizontal surfaces and just genreally very dirty and smelly. First night, fire alarm goes off at 1:45 a.m. Hotel evacuates into the rain and at no time did we ever get a "go ahead" from the hotel or Fire Dept. to go back in. Everyone just got fed up with standing in the rain and went back in. Hotel never apologized or offered an explanation. BEWARE the lobby computer, there is a little icon of an Arab in a turban brandishing a scimitar in the corner. Don't know what it means but I used the computer to check my e-mail and by the time i got home 2 days later my e-mail had been hijacked and used to send thousands of SPAM messages.

All Bad!
By Terry, 3/9/10
Lobby was decent, but that's where it ended. Got to the room, and it was disgusting! Nasty carpets; candle wax all over the floor and desk chair. Went back & upgrated to a suite. Not any better! Still nasty carpets, no remote, and the bed was like straw! Wouldn't have stayed, but our son was ungoing his second surgery in a week at St. Vincents & we were simply too exhausted to move!!! This hotel needs to be condemmed!!!!!

Never Again
By Kami, 9/16/08
We like the Microtel chain, so we were surprised by our experience. ABSOLUTELY the WORST bed I have EVER slept on. The mattress reminded me of a cot mattress it was so thin! The foot of the bed was higher than the head, and the middle was sunken in, so it reminded me of what it would be like to sleep in a bowl. NO shampoo nor hairdryer provided. You could borrow one for the morning if you promised to bring it back right away! :( We were VERY disappointed!

We loved it and was surprised for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/9/07
I thought the room was very clean and I liked the style. Our room had nice mirrors on the walls. The service was nice too. We ordered food from our room that came from the restaurant next door. The food was delivered to our room. There was a menu in our room. The only thing I didnt like was the food I got but there was nothing wrong with it, it was just my taste. We had our baby and 3yr old girl there and I didnt feel like she couldnt touch anything. I am going to stay there again.

We won't be staying here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/14/07
We have been reading reviews/ looking to visit Indy for a week prior to 500. Thanks to the two reviews we will not be staying at the new Microtel @ I-465 and Rockville rd. It does not sound like a very secure and safe hotel.WE also are riders... The last thing someone wants on vacation is to be worrying about their safety/ and belongings. Thanks for the postings / and looking out for fellow bikers.

A bunch of little things gone wrong
By By The Lake, 5/23/05
The welcome gift of used condoms in the toilet of this room was perhaps the grossest thing I have ever encountered in any of my many hotel stays. The poor impression I got of this hotel was compounded by the small piles of dust and debris found under the bed while searching for the remote control that was not in the room. (On a good note, as soon as we called the front desk, they immediately brought a remote for the room) Upon turning on the air conditioner to circulate the air in the tiny room, a strong scent of urine eminated from the unit. The bathroom was large and did have a nice heater in it. Shower flow was poor, as is typical in many hotels, but the drain was also slow. The hotel location and price are great, and this wouldn't have been a bad place to stay if it weren't for the housekeeping and maintenance problems.
