Internet is AWFUL, location is good
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/08
In 23 days spent at the Hotel, the internet is up about 50% of the time. Staff has no expert and tells you you're out of luck because they can do nothing. If the system locks after the manager has departed for the night staff can't reboot. I definitely recommend staying elsewhere if you are a business traveler that requires internet connectivity. Otherwise the location is nice with shopping, food and a bar within walking distance. The Hotel is well maintained. The front desk Staff in general is not very helpful.

Loved it !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/08
We stayed Feb. 8-23/08 and really enjoyed it, found it homey and comfortable, made ourselves "at home" there, the pool was nice and warm and the hot tub "just right", enjoyed having our breakfast out by the pool each morning, the breakfast could be added to for a better variety, the rooms were very clean and roomy, we liked having the fridge. The location was great and had easy access to I - 8. We plan to stay again for the whole month of Feb./09, can't wait!!! Lots of eating places nearby too. Also had stayed at the new Microtel in Las Vegas, it is wonderful!!

Will Never Go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/08
About 10pm my toilet backed up and when I called the front desk, they told me they had a plunger and to come get it. No other options. There was only one person on staff and they couldn't leave the front desk. I got the plunger and with a lot of mess (you don't need details), I fixed it. They gave me no price discount... just a sorry. I even spoke to corporate and ... just a sorry. They also goofed up my reservations I made 3 months prior. This was my worst hotel experience. I will never again go to the microtel... to many other options nowadays in Yuma.

Denise and Dotti
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
This was the worst experience I have had in any hotel, if you are not white, then dont bother going here. The General Manager Dotti as well as her sidekick Denise, lack any customer service skills or people skills and education, and are abrasive, when attempting to deal with a problem. It was interesting to see how they handled my white family member and then me, who would have thought this would happen in 2007. Its really not worth the trouble. There are a few really nice hotels a few miles a way and I suggest those, as customer service is not important at the microtel

Fair Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/07
We liked the hotel. We found it clean and quiet, except for the fact that our room was on the front and faced onto the #8 highway. This created early morning traffic noise. The room was very small, but we didn't spend much time in it, so it was OK. The pool area looked inviting, however; we didn't get to use it. The Continental breakfast was nothing special. Coffee and some pre wrapped buns was about it. Overall, we would not have a problem staying there again. However; we would try for a room at the back of the Motel. Oh, by the way, we didn't lay down on the floor to look for "dust bunnies". LOL

we will return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/06
My wife and I were very happy with our stay there, the in room spa was a wonderful way to relax, after a tough day of sight seeing, (wine optional) staff was very helpful, maid service was a little late on one day, the bed was a little hard, otherwise our stay was perfect, we will return.

Stinky Room to Executive Suite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/16/05
I checked in and was given a room that had a horrible order - like essence of vomit. At the front desk I was met with some resistance but was moved to another room. To my pleasure, I was moved into the excecutive suite - full kitchen, dining room, living room, 1 1/2 baths...very elegant. Thanks...but the first room should have been cleaner...

Bring your own pillows
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/05
A rude night crew had no idea how to get high speed web access to work, and refused to help us get two extra pillows. The day shift found pillows and was courteous during the two days in January we were there. A letter from the facility's general manager mentioned that we visited during the busy season and suggested that we bring our own pillows in the future. We'll bring pillows when we go camping, and will patronize other hotels in Yuma.
