Travelodge Edinburgh Central, Edinburgh

I found the hotel clean and for the price and location you can't beat it in Scotland, you can walk to everything, it's right on the royal mile. How much time do you spend in a hotel when your on vacation anyway, all I want is clean and that it was.

Upon arrival hotel looked okay. We were on the second floor, there was no air condition, the bathroom was completely dated underneath the bed was completely full of dust and behind the bed the wall was all marked and I dare to think what with. The road was very busy in front of hotel and that combined with how hot the room was, we will not be going back. Forget breakfast which is a joke. Food of poor standard and not enough seats for guests so standing to eat breakfast!!!

Edinburgh nightmare to drive in to city,but Alan(works at front desk)talked us all the way in VERY helpful,cant thank him enough he deserves a pay raise.Hotel simple but cheap good for a family on budget located in heart of edinburgh right on royal mile.

I found the staff to be rather rude when I arrived. They charged £10 to hold luggage until our room was ready, which obviously I didn't pay. This being the first time I've known a Hotel requiring a payment for luggage storage. The room was fairly clean, although I noticed a few areas that could do with a polish/vacuum. There was no clock or phone in our room either. The room was small, very small. I didn't risk taking a shower as the shower curtain barley reached the floor. So would I stay there again? Personally I wouldn't.

couldn't fault it for value for money, had the double and only had 1 large towel but they replaced the soap even though we only used it once and the room was spotless top to bottom. bar seemed to be open all night and morning as we stumbled in from the nightlife sure i got a pint at 3am ish. cant remember, iron board was a bit ..retro..

This hotel was a bit different from what I've stayed in before. Maybe it's just that things are different in Europe, but there no phone or clock in the rooms and no washcloths or hand towels available. I had to ask at the front desk for toilet paper. I thought that odd. HOWEVER it iwas very clean and the staff was very friendly. The bar/cafe had limited food options, but everything I ate (and drank) was very good and hot. It was in the most perfect location I could have asked for so without question I will stay there again. The drawback of the hotel was completely overshadowed by the perfect location and the cleanliness. I'll be back in a couple years.
