i liked this place so well that that if i dident go their for 1 day in a year, I would explode. thats how good the double tree hotel is the best

freq stay

I stay an average of 5-10 days per month. The staff at the desk are very good...ask for Mohammed..best one there. The room is actually par. You should request something on the 7th or 8th floor. The breakfast rocks, and the guys at working the bar remember you everytime. I moved to another local hotel 1 time and there was no comparison. Only concern is the amount of TV stations in the room...if you want to see sports you have to belly up to the bar downstairs.

very nice for the price

We stayed here for two nights when my boyfriend got back from a tour or duty in Iraq. It is close to Irvine Spectrum, there is a lot to do there. Room was very clean, except for a few stray hairs in the bathroom. (but what can ya do) The bed was comfortble. We called for extra pillows, they were out. The hotel was sold out yet the only noise we really heard was from the elevator when the door, to the, room was not shut all the way. Really could have used a fridge. Pool looked inviting although time did not permitt for a swim. We did however get stuck in a smooking room which was not what we wanted, but a can of Frebreeze fixed it really fast. There is a charge for the internet, $10 a day.. (We did not use it.) It is freeway close 5/133/405 would be easy from OC airport. I have to say I did enjoy the stay, with a fridge it would have been the best hotel so far, but what can you do? I look forward to going again, as soon as possible.

Shopping

This is a wonderful hotel if you like to shop. It is right near the irvine specturm which has some of the best shopping in all of irvine and you are also close to the freeway which gives you ease to travel all around the city. Near very nice bars and nightclubs. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. Pool is nice and weather is wonderful all year round.

Hold a room for us!

Stayed here twice recently- Christmas week(2004) and 3 days in Feb.(2005) Found our room to be comfortable and spacious,bathrooms very well appointed and clean!! The people at the front desk were extremely helpful and always willing to give us detailed directions. We have relatives in the area and will always book here, when possible.

Just another hotel

I paired this stay with a reservation made directly with the hotel. When I checked in, they had assumed this was an error and cancelled the reservation I made directly with Doubletree for 1/30/04. They rectified the problem, but required that I check in again the next day for the reservation I made through Yahoo. Also, the room was not cleaned on 12/31 until I called and requested it.
