Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/08
I can't recall anything to like about this hotel. The staff and management were incredibly rude. I had an issue, called multiple times, gave multiple people my cell phone number and they never called me back. I stood at the front desk for 30 minutes while the attendant talked to "management" and never once would a manager speak to me. They could care less about their guests. The worst service I have ever experienced and I am an extremely seasoned road warrior who has had plenty of years of 300+ nights / year in a hotel. This one takes the cake as the worst service quality of all time.

The staff was soooo rude!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/07
The hotel itself was clean and unlike most NY hotel rooms, the room was fairly large. The staff however was incredibly rude and not helpful in any way. There was no concierge instead all calls were routed to the front desk who knew nothing about the area or so they said. Every question we asked was met with an "I don't know". They would not get us a cab or instruct us as to the best way to get one. In theatre clothes, they suggested we take the subway. Unfortunately from where the hotel is located most trips are 3 train rides away.

Rude Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/07
Small room. Found a colleague got a bigger room for ten dollars more and tried to get the same deal but the lady at the front desk refused to accomodate and acted like she could care less. Then told the manager about her behavior and he didn't seem to care. Boutique hotels sound cool but I've received much better service from bigger name hotels.

I'll comeback
By Pablo Viquez, 04/24/07
It's a nice hotel, the rooms are clean, very quiet, FREE internet at the room which is great, I had a plasma TV at the room and a dvd player so I was able to watch any movie I wanted, plus the hotel have the service of free movies. My overall experience was really good, the personel was very friendly and the hotel location was great. Also, the room included breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

Customer is never right
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/21/07
I booked at this hotel from a recommendation - however I will not go back. The room was a match box, the service was awful - no help getting cabs ( I was there during a snow storm). I booked on line through United Airlines - room was paid in full - did not charge anything in the hotel. I checked out and confirmed that the bill was taken care of only to find a $75.00 charge on my credit card and could not get it resolved - Managers, front desk staff are not only no helpful, they are not accessible. I could go on - the resturant is great, the breakfast wonderful - live music at night in the bar - if they had good managment staff and front desk staff this would be a great hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/06
and had a pleasant stay. Receptionists were rude but after travelling for 8 hours I just wanted my bed. Room was ok but the mini fridge was empty. Subway was 30 seconds walk which was good. Enjoyed walking around NYC as we were a bit of a walk from Times Sq or 42nd St but got to see a lot of places that you wouldn't normally see. Overall I would stay again, but look out for the view of the brick wall...!!!!!!

Park South
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/06
This place is about all you can ask for in terms of getting the most for your money in Central Manhattan. It combines an excellent location with a luxurious stay at an affordable price, and their in hotel restaurant is a great compliment to one's stay.

Great, clean little hotel
By SangeetaD, 05/15/06
This was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in...it was great. The staff was v. friendly and helpful, especially Jesus, the belhop/doorman. The room was small (but not by NY standards) and v. clean. Little fridge was a plus...great soaps, shampoos, etc. Breakfast gave new meaning to the phrase "continental breakfast." Fresh bagels, organic yogurt, hard boiled eggs, deli meats. Fantastic. Big bowl of chocolate at the front desk. It was nice. Walk 1/2 block to subway and good restaurants...esp. if you like Indian. I would have given this 5 stars except the doorman who arranged our taxi/limo to the airport (not Jesus), quoted $36, and we were charged $45. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Clean, Clean, Clean
By Mike, 03/26/06
My son and I stayed at the Park South in September. Having stayed in hotels in the U.S. and Europe, this was the cleanest room I have ever seen. Very tastefully decorated but small. The free internet service and breakfeast was a bonus. Subway stop was only a block away and several good restaurants nearby. I would deninately stay here on my next trip to N.Y.
