Holiday Inn Exp Stes Pacifica, Pacifica

This is my first review for any hotel so I must have been moved! I absolutely loved and enjoyed my stay at the HIE and the staff was absolutely kind to me. They even remembered me from my initial stay just a few months earlier. I loved it the first time so on the spot i booked the same room and brought my husband to enjoy our 17th anniversary! We met some lovely folks while dining in the cozy dining area (hot breakfast with lovely pancakes, eggs, and sausage) and all the other continental fixings! The view of lovely sound of the ocean is spectacular and we enjoyed so much the comfort and warmth of he entire experience. I have no negative comments to make. Will definitely return!

Oustanding employee personalities. Personal attention to every detail for guest's every need -- very proactive, positive and friendly. Property was clean, fresh, bright, comfortable and convenient. Location was central to our vacation plans and was a restful "home" away from home. Loved it!

We had a real lovely stay at the Holiday Inn. The friendliness of the staff far surpassed most hotels where we have stayed in the past. They were attentive and responsive to all our concerns. Hats off to the way they approach their customers! The hotel is perfectly located and clean. You can enjoy the ocean view and a funky fireplace. They provided us with all the facilities such as the microwave, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, makeup mirror, bar and fridge. They took care of all our basic necessities. The room was clean, and the bathroom amenities were awesome. The stay was so comfortable and enjoyable that we almost felt as if we were at home. Good work, keep it going!

I was very fond of the serene ambience and our stay in Pacifica was just wonderful. The hotel is right on Rockaway Beach so you can clearly hear the waves at night. This gives you a feeling of tranquility and makes your stay completely worthwhile. My family and I just love the relaxing sound of water. When this was available so close to us, what more could we ask for……. They serve a full breakfast buffet with great options available for coffee. We really appreciate their outstanding customer service and responsiveness of the staff. They answered all our queries with a big smile on their face. All the necessary information about the hotel was very well provided making our stay very convenient and comfortable. Keep it up guys!

Staff was great! Attentive, courteous, sincere and friendly! The staff made our stay. Yes, its an older hotel, but well maintained and clean. Location was ideal, ocean shore was out the side door. Easy to find and drive around. Close to shopping and 20 minutes to Fishermans Wharf. Really enjoyed our time there. Will stay again with out a doubt.

The hotel overall was not something to go to if you are wanting new and a little more luxurious. I traveled alone, so it provided a great place for me to go to relax and was close enough to the city if I wanted to venture out. The staff there was very polite and really helpful to me. The best part was being so close to the ocean and having great views from my window with the exception of the junky motel that was in between.

The location was awesome...right next to the beach. Most of the staff were friendly, but one was rude to our daughter. Can't blame all for one bad apple though. The hotel boasts a "full" continental breakfast, and one review stated it was like a full breakfast. This did not prove to be true. It was the typical donuts, little muffins, several different kinds of fruit, plus coffee, tea, etc. We did like the fact that the staff baked cookies and had them available in the lobby for anyone...they were yummy! The beds were uncomfortable & the room cramped for 4 people. I'd suggest getting a double for only 2 people. There is no pool, spa or gym, but the easy beach access makes it a great location.

ESPECIALLY TO HIS STAFF! I walked to the desk to ask a question and the poor front desk clerk was getting lectured about smoking or something...he was yelling loud enough for me to hear...so it was obviously too loud. At check out I asked about rates for August...which have skyrocketed! The girl said there is no longer a AAA rate or a Government rate...and regular non ocean view room were well over $200! That's rediculous! Nobody in their right mind would pay that much for a room at a Holiday Inn Express!

This hotel is great. The beach, the breakfast, the superfriendly staff...all amazing! The general manager, James, was exceptional and the front desk clerks (Brett, Christina, Gina, Katrina) always had smiles on their faces. Would definitely stay there again and again...though we've heard that management has changed.

Even though our arrival was on time, our reservation had been given to someone else. We were put in a smaller room. The people working the desk were not helpful or courteous. The breakfast was okay, just not enough room to sit while eating. Don't think I would stay there again.
