no concern of security & terribly managed
I checked in today, Dec 29, 2009. First the ventilation does not work properly, once the ventilation reaches to certain temperature, it will be shutted off and will not be reopened. Then, problem with the lock; I can open the door WITHOUT any key. I strongly believe that a properly ventilated room and a room with a proper and working lock is the basic requirement from any kind of hotel guest. Though staying with a group properly falls in the "least preferred" group of customers; because when I stated these complaints, the first question I got asked was, "are you individual or with a group"? Does that make a different of asking just a ventilated and ability to be locked room???? Then, reception staff/manager was the worse!!! simply telling you there are no more room, while when I ask other staff if the hotel was full; they told me not!!!! I believe that it is bad enough. I have to go back-and-forth 3 times to get the check the key; is that my job?? The last but not the least problem--the window to balcony could not be locked. So, a WIDE-OPEN room for any kind of theives!!!!! I have been a frequent traveller for both business and leisure (my interest is also travelling) for almost 20 years. This really is the worse experience I have ever had. While the treatment I had is "no room"????? I really doublt. May be just no more room for Group guest??? What kind of service. So, if you have the patience to read up till now; please tell me why would you ever want to stay in this hotel. WORSE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Unfortunately, I am stuck in a froeign country, so helpless.
Today is the third evening I stay in this hotel. To me, staff in this hotel absolutely care less of what is security to a hotel customer. As I said it in my previous e-mail about how they deal with an "unsecured room" complaint. Today when our group arrived the hotel, there were a "photographer" waiting to take individual pictures of each of our group without our approval. When I went up to security, he tole me with such a casual manner that he was not from the hotel. Then, I asked why would he allow a strangers to enter the hotel taking pictures of the hotel customers. He said that the photos are just to post them on internet. To me, it was even worse. He then told me to go to the reception manager; he was aware of the whole thing. When we made the complaint, the hotel manager told me that they could not do anything about it. He told me that he would call the photographer not to post our pictures...... The most scary part is that they just simply think allow stranger taking photos (close up individual ones) is not a problem. I personally would not stay in this hotel ever again. If I may, I would rate it a negative star!!!! Ridiculous.
