Poor Customer Service
I received wonderful customer service the afternoon we checked in for our two night stay. However, after spending all day at a sporting event, we came back to the hotel to find that our room keys would not work. We had all of our items outside our door just wanting to get in the room and I had to track the Front Desk worker down. He fixed the key card, with no apology and we went back up to our room. My next attempt was to use our room phone to request additional pillows and towels for the pool. However our room phone did not work-It did not have a dial tone or anything. So back down to the front desk I went. Again no apology. No offer to switch rooms. I was provided with two additinal towels, and three pillows, but refused the one stained with blood. The next evening, we experienced the same issue with our key cards not working. I was more than annoyed about having to go down to the lobby again to have the key cards rescanned.
The morning we checked out, I explained the situation to the different Front Desk clerk who stated we should have been offered a different room due to the phone not working. I asked for a discount (provided wih $5.00 per night).
However, we were not thanked for our service, wished well, etc as we left.
In addition, the only pop machine and ice machine are on the first floor. We were on a non-smoking floor (3rd floor), however we could smell cigarette smoke each evening/morning.
I was not happy with the customer service we received, especially given this is listed as a 3 star hotel.
