Spearfish Canyon Lodge, Spearfish Canyon

On their web site they have a link for online registration. What they don't tell you is it costs $80 more to register online. When I called to ask about this I was told to leave a message for the general manager which I did. Almost a week later I have not heard from her.

We didn't have the opportunity to stay at this lodge, but am planning a trip back. It did snow when we were there in May, but the scenery made it such a great trip. There is nowhere else that has all this has to offer. If you can, take the hike down to see the Dances with Wolves film site and waterfall. It was too muddy and cold when we were there, but do plan to do it when we go back. A trip very worth a visit!!!

The two months I worked there more then 15 employees left. I contacted the owners after I was fired for reporting my tips stolen. They were very nice. But the management at the lodge was very rude and unprofessional. I am also fileing a complaint about them illegally adding tips to my checks so they didnt have to compensate me. I have never worked at a place more horrible in my life. The management attacked me and accused me of being a theif of my own tips. There were several people that quit before me that were attacked in the same fasion after complaining about there tips or having to clean rooms at waitress wages. There were meny comment cards stating that the management was horrible because they were rude to customers as well! I hope for the owner sake that they see what is really going on down there and they get new management quick!
