Hampton Inn and Suites Dallas Mesquite, Mesquite

i liked the fact they had a bar in this hotel....gonna need something to cope with buisness trips and the fact of some of the problems youll have here, first before leaving on the trip here i called and asked if the tvs here had hdmi hook ups so i could hook up a dvd player . the dest clerk asked maintinance and was told yes what she didnt tell me was that the tvs couldnt be changed to the inputs to use them im pretty sure its one of those cases where i asked if they had hook ups but didnt say can i change the input to use them .... didnt think i needed to get that specific but than again it is texas soo next issue....there is nothing around here within an ear shot sure a quick jump on the highway and a few miles down the road your good to go but i mean nothing within walking distance.... than as far as internet goes... if your looking to watch videos online forget it.. the bandwidth is terrible but they got a keyboard in the room for you to pay for the internet through them..... i wish companies would stop trying to nickel and dime everything and be comfortable with millions of dollars in profits a year. hampton inn....... increase your bandwith, allow inputs to work on tv's, and its also the first hampton inn room i stayed in that didnt have a mini fridge in it. the desk clerk was very nice and thats really about it. the bed is comfortable as usual and everything appears clean but as far as mentioned above thats about all

We were not told the correct rate at check in, the receipt slid under the door was the wrong rate yet my card was charged for a higher rate never before mentioned. We spoke with the front desk agent who checked us in and he wasn't sure why we were charged a higher rate and transferred us to accounting who also was not sure why we were charged a higher rate. After a week of them taking money out of my account and putting it back in they realized the rate was higher due to Super Bowl Weekend. I spoke with the manager about how we were not informed (and apparently neither was the staff if it took them this long to figure it out) of this price increase. The manager basically said tough cookies. I asked why the receipt slid under my door did not reflect that and she said "I dont' have a good answer for that". Horrible service on the management front. Not to mention she did not return my first call becuase she was aware of my issue from accounting. Take your chances if you want but we will not be staying here anymore. Very impressed with the entire facility. We evacuated there because of a hurriicane and were pleased with the accommodations. The staff was helpful and friendly, the beds were comfortable with soft linens and down comforters. Even though the hotel was at full capacity, it was very quite. The breakfast had a good variety and everything we tried was good. Entire facility was clean.Our every need was promptly met. If we ever return to Mesquite or the Dallas area, this will be our hotel of choice.

I stayed 2 nights and will definetly go back. The hotel is right next to the rodeo arena ...and there was one going on. I never heard a sound at night, even though the hotel was full. THe room was awesome... a mini suite...kitchen, livingroom and separate bedroom. The dressing area was awesome....the whole thing was awesome. Great hotel, very nice employees.

Very clean and extremely comfortable. Wouldn't stay any where else when traveling to Mesquite. Great continental breakfast too! Beds are like sleeping on clouds, snuggly down comforters and lots of quality bed pillows.

It was a nice fascility I stayed there often but we were booked there on business during Katrina and it became a mess and we were asked to leave because we had a car. The hotel began to smell from all the pets. so I suggest inspecting the rooms carefully. The staff was overwhelmed and stressed out. Refused to try to find another hotel.
