Mainstay Suites Mt. Pleasant, Mt Pleasant

From the outside looking in it appears to be nice clean place to stay. However, our room was crawling with roaches, so bad that we had to move to another room! It cost almost $200.00 a night and they were willing to credit us $30.00. WTH??

I have stayed many times in the past. The hotel HAS MADE many, many new changes and it is lovely. The new room have flat scree TV's. WoW! New staff and new management makes a BIG difference. Give this hotel a chance and I'm sure you will feel the same. : )

Service at this hotel is terrible. The hotel is not clean due to the unprofessionalism of the staff. Hotel staff did not want to do things like, clean the bathroom or vacuum the floor.

When we arrived to our non-smoking room it had been smoked in, but they people before us used the drinking glasses as an ashtray and the maids forgot to clean the room. I am pretty sure the linens "looked" clean enough so they did not change. It was repulsive. Do not stay here!! Voicing your concerns with the front desk did absolutely no good, the night manager's answer to me was "it's not my problem" at 10pm at night when I am ready to settle down, it is your problem. This place was dingy and quite disgusting! Be warned....

I will admit that I have stayed in some pretty cheap hotels before, but I have never stayed in such a dirty place in my life. I am a young male and I normally stay at mid priced hotels with my wife. I dont look for concierge service or turndown service, but I do expect a clean room. I chose this hotel because it was cheap and it offered a room with two beadrooms and two baths. Our first room looked as if it had not been cleaned after the last guest because of the puddle of juice on the counter and uncleand carpets. So we asked to move rooms. at first the new room didnt look so bad until we went into the beadrooms to find the floors had not been vacumed. In a bathroom there were razors and personal items left by the last guest, and worst of all the toilet had not been cleaned and it seriously needed cleaned. The bottom line is that they do not clean their rooms. The staff was very unhelpful when it came to needing towles or washcloths. If you needed something they would tell you to come to the office to pick it up. There were cigarette butts in the eleveator, front office and foyer floors. The entire place was just dirty. The sad part is it would be a decent place to stay if it was just clean. If you are thinking about staying here, it is probobly because you are looking for a good deal. Trust Me this is not a good deal

My family stayed here for two nights. The rooms were not that clean. The windows looked like they had never been clean. They didnt clean the rooms while you were out and they didnt restock your towels and wash cloths. When we went to the front desk to ask for more towels and wash cloths they gave us clean towels and said they would bring us wash cloths but as i figured we never got them. I would not stay here again for nothing. The service was horrible and ill just put the extra money towards staying at the holiday inn express because they have the service and rooms that you expect. Stay at this place at your own risk because you "will" be dissapointed.
