Best Western Hancock Inn, Lewisport

The staff were very friendly. The hotel itself and room was very clean! I would suggest this hotel to anyone. The rates were great most other places have really high rates but this hotel had an average price on its rooms the rooms are very nice and quiet. overall a nice place to stay.

Worst night I have had on the road ever with ten years of business travel and I was only there a couple of hours. It takes 20 minutes to get to outskirts of Ownesboro where rooms can be found that are clean and disease free and the management appreciates your business and understands customer service. The proprietor here is arrogant and operates under entitlement as he is the only room around. He is entitled to keep you money without returning any common courtesy or a clean room. If you are going to Holiday World or in Hancock County for a sporting event, again stay in Owensboro. the drive is about the same to HW. If this is a franchise, Best Western should remove their name from this establishment as this place is not indicative of a corporate owned establishment. I left after 2 hours (of which I was really only in the room 10 minutes) due to a significant room issue that developed and there being no other rooms available. It was a huge inconvenience to leave as I was with a group and we were now cut away from the herd by 30 miles. All I wanted was a clean room and that could not be provided. I understand things happen and rooms were booked but if I cannot stay in a room and another cannot be provided, I should not have to pay. That is not the case when you operate under the entitlement theory. Stay here and before your time is up you will be clicking your heels together chanting "there's no place like home...there's no place like home... there's no place..." The "5-star" review has to be a "paid for" review. I doubt a dog would eat off the floors there. It's quiet because it is in the middle of a bean field on a lonely highway.

This hotel is in the middle of no where and the rates were very high. All the other hotels were booked in Owensboro so we had no choice to stay at Best Western. I was a little surprised to see that the border in the room was coming off since the hotel is almost new. Toilet paper was around the sprinkler system. I was highly disappointed in the breakfast. We had to ask for more food, plates, napkins, etc. The person working the desk was also working the breakfast area. We did not witness this person washing his hands or wearing gloves while preparing more food. Plus the donuts and bagels were dried out, cereal stale and the waffle machine did not work properly. This hotel was average but not worth $108!
