The Westin La Cantera Resort San Antonio, San Antonio

All in all It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals. N e t They usually have some pretty good deals on there.

The ants in the bed was bad the half price tickets joke and the shuttle bus only runs when they say don't believe they will pick you up when you call. The pools are great the kids love them most of the employes are nice. But my 5 and 8 year old kids woke up with fire ants in there bed close to 20 bits on the 5 year old and 10 on the 8 year old when I pulled the blanket off I saw 25 to 30 ants in bed with my kids. When I said something about it to the front desk they said sorry they know there's a ant problem

I would like to bring to you attention and to ensure that corporate and all management understands the magnitude of my experience and the experiences of all that attended at the Westin At La Cantera in San Antonio, Texas on a Ladies Weekend Get-A-Way July 29th through Aug 2, 2010. My sole concern is that I might not be able to articulate to you the inexhaustible attentiveness, the attention to detail and the kinds engagement that your staff achieved during our stay. I am very proud to state even after weeks of leaving the facility of Westin At La Cantera that your employees continue to leave a reminder of how they exceeded our expectations on every level of service made available and met requests beyond what I would consider everyday amenities with a smile and an urgency to please. I want to ensure that you understand that our very experience at Westin At La Cantera has left over whelming palatable memories for all five of us who traveled from five different states to be at this weekend reunion. Below is a list of every employee that made such a grand impression on us. We hope that this letter will help “every single one” of these following employees in some way in our comparatively small effort to show our gratitude in providing us a weekend experience that could have ranged from good to great but ended up being beyond any experience we could have phantom. Thank you.

Husband and I took the kids to San Antonio for spring break and we went to Six Flags; had a blast! Upon ariving to the hotel we were greeted by the very friendly staff, were checked in by excellent front desk attendents, but overall from our experience at the pool it was not soo good. We normally go to the other resort in town but decided to check our the westin. We missed the lazy river and hyatt pool staff. The Westin La Cantera staff at the gantry pool seemed to be under trained and very unaware of whats going on around the resort. We understand though, its an outside atmosphere so they probably arent as picky on who they hire. (probably dont have a choice in hiring, when its a seasonal job) It took 22 minutes to get a beer and a margarita after we gave up on the server and went to the bar. I had ordered a wrap but got a poolside salad instead. Ate the salad anyways and it was really good. My husband asked what beers were on tap and the server had to go back and ask. after we went back to our room this day, we ran into a supervisor: his name was lawrence who asked us how we were doing but then got interrupted by keith an employee. Lawrence promised to come back out to talk to us but he never did. If your looking to do everythng else besides the pool - this may be the resort for you!

I did not stay here but I got 2 spa services while my husband went golfing. The massage and the pedicure were the worst spa services i have ever recieved. The massage therapist had no flow she kept starting and stopping messing with the music ect.. My pedicure was even worse. She had polish all over the sides of my nails and cuticles. It was so bad I had to remove the polish and redue them myself after returning to my hotel. Don't waist your money ladies I have been to alot of spas and this was definately my worst experience.

Could not find any price less than 200 a night at this place, regardless of what Yahoo Travel stated.

My husband, 3 kids and I stayed at this resort for three nights. We upgraded our room to a deluxe (you pay extra for a so-called "view"), which was not worth the extra money. We got stuck right next to a massive tree that totally blocked our view. I would recommend to confirm that you actually have a view with guest services before you pay for a deluxe. And as far as the room - I was not impressed. The carpet looked dirty. You could confuse the room with a room at a 3 star hotel. The only thing I was somewhat pleased with was the bathroom. It was larger than your usual hotel and you have a partition for the toilet. Now as far as the rest of the hotel - it looked much nicer. We enjoyed the pools. There is a water slide that the kids really enjoyed. The location of this resort also pleased me. The scenery was nice and it was close to Fiesta Texas. There is a shuttle that takes you and picks you up from Fiesta Texas and the Shops at La Cantera. We enjoyed not having to park at Fiesta Texas, it can be a big hassle. Also, the Shops at La Cantera are nice. Oh and be prepared to walk.

Check in and check out took FOREVER. Likewise with the bell captain and the valet parking employees. To be this expensive, the service is pretty bad.

i love ever thing.i did not not dislike anything only like 3 or 6 not a lot.1 of the things i did not like is that it was cold at night.

i experienced a whole lot of fun and please thank the maids and janitors for doing such a great job!!!!! and the front desk people for all there work i'll be back in november!!!!!!1 and you mr. manger you keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!..... u guys rock!!!!!!!!!!! you are #1 on my list it's such a great get away
