Dublin City Inn Talbot Street, Dublin

This is just a lovely clean and comfy budget hotel. Don't be put off by the little entrance door. It opens to a modern homey spotless hotel with friendly personnel and a terrific breakfast room, (presided over by Mrs Mary McCarthy) The public areas are on the main floor with a fireplace, large screen tv and outdoor garden area. The rooms are large and airy (even by US standards), spotlessly clean, with coffee/tea makers, TV, self controlled heat in the bedroom and bathroom. Beds are new and comfy with plenty of pillows and big fluffy comforters. The bathroom is small, with only a shower but theres plenty of towels, a small problem for the overall picture. The area is close to all the sights, and the big spire is right on the corner so you can't get lost. Its quieter than the Temple Bar area which gets very loud when the college students invade on weekends. You're also right by the DART and the new LUAS which goes to the suburbs and the main train stations. I'm a very experienced "Budget Europe" traveler and this is definately my number one pick in all of Europe. I am already booked for September 2006.
