Don't pay full fare
By August, 09/27/09
Pricelined this Hotel on a short trip. Our room was worn, Service was snooty at times, and great at others. Location is great but that was about it. Would make a great movie set for Hostel 3 ;-) East Germany meets Hollywood. An OK hotel, not worth full fare in our opinion.

"W"orst Experience EVER!
By HA, 09/11/09
Service was AWFUL! People were "bothered" by questions re: directions and attractions. No one was friendly in the least bit. We found this to be true all over the city. I will NOT be returning to the "W" or to Seattle for that matter!!

Not so hot
By Simonne, 07/08/08
Likes: The decor was BEAUTIFUL. Kind of dark but it was really pretty and funky. The whole place smelled great. Located near everything downtown. The toiletries were wonderful Bliss products. Dislikes: The bath robe in our room was stained! Gross. The hotel staff was snotty. I mean seriously, you work at a hotel as a receptionist! $40 to park at a hotel you've already paid WAY too much to stay in is kinda crazy.

Rude rude rude!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/08
A friend and I decided to go for a quick getaway and heard a lot about this hotel.... this is what I wish people told us about. They charge $35 a night for valet, $10 more than the other 4 star hotels. They charge $15 a day for internet, OR their business center charges 34 cents a minute in a small pathetic room. The concierge are RUDE, not helpful, and how they treat you will be determined by your looks. The room is decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. The Fairmont and Hyatt have equal if not better rooms. Overall... we both wished we stayed at the another hotel in town considering how much we paid.

Not quite the hype
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/08
I have stayed at many four star hotels... and this the first that had poor service and poor attitudes. The rooms were clean, and quite nice, and the location was convenient. However for the money, I'd rather be treated like a human being than someone who is not worth their time.

location was perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/04/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Best Hotel I've ever stayed at!!
By Money Honey, 07/10/07
I can't say enough about my experience at the W! I loved the cool atmosphere, this is obviously a hotel designed to be different, and it does a great job! My first experience with the staff set the tone for the 5 days I stayed there. After a cross country journey, I checked in to the hotel, only to find my credit card was not accepted, the man at the front desk was patient and accomodating, as I called the company to resolve the problem, which turned out to be a result of charges being made in multiple states over a short period of time. The room definately fit its name it was "Spectacular" the beds were amazingly comfortable! The view was fantastic. I was traveling with a dog, and he was treated with the same level of service as I was! He had his own comfy bed, special dog treats, and his own bowls! I took advantage of the complimentary dog walking service, and the whatever/whenever staff was beyond accomodating! While the hallway lighting is a bit dim, it added to the mood. I can't say enough about the staff and quality of the hotel, and would highly recommend it! The rates are extremely affordable considering the quality of the hotel.

w seattle does not mean wicked
By elsadgallant, 07/02/07
Staying at the W was not a pleasant experience first they charge too much for valet parking . Second they have a very small lobby and a very noisy lobby. Third arrangements made through concierge were not properly done. Fourth our key cards stopped working. Fifth poor handling of vehicles too many not enough room. Sixth they charge too much for internet access in room many other facilities don't even charge . Seventh way too expensive bottle of water eight bucks give me a break. All in all not a pleasant experience we will not return to this hotel.

Worst Service In Seattle -
By Rose, 10/25/06
The staff at the W was rude from my first day through the last. Everything at this hotel is outsourced. If there is any kind of problem the staff will do nothing about it. Their standard saying is, "That is not a part of the hotel - we can do nothing about it." The Internet support is $15/day per computer. Prepare to deal with a WIRED connection as there is NO WIRELESS connectivity in guest rooms. Only one computer can be connected at a time to the WIRED LAN. Parking (next to the hotel) is also outsourced. It is $10 for the first thiry minutes. This is direct billed to your room. The temperature controls were broken in the room. We were sweating for about 5 days straight. Although we complained to the front desk - again, nothing happened. The TV was supposidly digital. There was non-standard programming and a minimum number of channels. It took FOREVER to change from one station to the next. I was billed for phone calls I did not make and had to argue at the desk upon checkout for the bills to be cleared. Lastly, I forgot something in the hotel and when I called later they said they would get someone right up to the room to find it and send it to me. Nothing happened. No return call with the status. After three more phone calls I found out they did not do anything and it was too late. Then they told me "it is not important" and just before hanging up on me. Regardless of where you chose to stay in Seattle there has to be something better than this. I will NEVER stay there again. Anything is better.
