Hampton Inn Rolla, Rolla

As a business traveler I stay in many hotels through the year. Some are great and others...not so much. But I have never complained or felt the need to post a comment because most things are just trivial in nature and don't matter. However, I have never experienced anything remotely close to what happened in room 207 at the Hampton Inn in Rolla Missouri. There is no way to explain myself without sounding completely insane or just trying to make something up. In fact, I really like the Hampton chains and will most likely continue to stay at their facilities (and would highly recommend them to others). That said, if one happens to be a very logical and pragmatic person such as myself, it becomes very difficult to accept or rationalize certain unexplainable events that occured in this particular room. It would be interesting to know if any others have had similiar "events" in this room or to know what the history is on this location. So, without sounding overly dramatic, my recommendation is simply this: If you are a skeptical person like I am in all things dealing with paranormal and would prefer not to have your foundation rocked, I would avoid this particular room, or perhaps the entire 2nd floor. Otherwise, all is well. But for me, this particular trip was cut short by a night as I had no intentions of staying for a repeat experience.

My husband and I went up to Rolla for a weekend during his military training and stayed at the Hampton. The bed sheets and comforter were so amazingly comfortable I just about died! There was complimentary lemonade, coffee, and cookies in the lounge downstairs. There's also a free breakfast (although we slept in too late to enjoy it). Hampton has now replaced the Holiday Inn as my hotel of choice!
