The Guiyang Miracle is Excellent
Stayed here on two occasions in July 2005.
--Pros: Was warmly greeted at the door. The desk seems to always have an English speaker available. All expected amenities are there. Well-equipped western buffets for breakfast and dinner. Two small bottles of water provided free for brushing teeth, etc. We had booked standard rooms for the second leg of our journey, but none were available due to a convention the day before, so they upgraded us to executive suites for the same price (350 RMB).
--Cons: The shuttle bus to the airport doesn't run on Sundays (had to pay extra 125 RMB). The pool isn't heated. Began to notice one or two roaches each time we ate at the first-floor restaraunt.
