Perfect spot!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/2/11
My family of 4 stayed here on the way to south Florida from Alabama. We liked it so much, we stayed again on our way home! It is a little pricier than some Best Westerns, but worth it. Very clean, friendly service, convenient to interstate, and has a good restautant on premises. We were able to use wireless services with no problems, fridge in the room, lots of tv channels. We did not use the (outdoor) pool, but had pool view from our room on way home. It looked great, and there were plenty of tables with umbrellas for people to read, have coffee, etc. Very family friendly. Breakfast was fine- many options from bagels, english muffins, biscuits (w or wo gravy), cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffles, more. Everything clean and well stocked. We'll be back!

Grateful to be there.
By Bianca, 4/2/11
We arrived late on a Friday of Spring Break and by chance got the very last room with everything else in Gainesville booked! With a sick husband and tired mother we would have been happy with anything. It was a pleasant surprise to have a nice facility(carpets are due to be cleaned) and very nice staff and a cooked to order egg breakfast! Lovely pool area (even though we didnt use it) beds a little soft, but I slept well! and their mission statement "The stranger within our gates" was a gift . I'd stay there again!

I would come back time and time again
By Phillip, 10/5/10
I thought just the looks of the place was enough, but then the service and comfert was a bonus! Very clean through out and friendly service. The breakfast has always been well, breakfast. Over all I have stayed here over 20 times and plan on stayin here again when passing by. Also not once have I found a bug or roach here, when as I have in others!

The jury is still out
The room service was great and to our instructions. We had a good nights sleep. The desk personell must have been new, because the vending machine was empty of water that was located near our room. The clerk said there was another machine on the 2nd story, but none on the 3rd story. I went to the 2nd story and that machine doesn't even stock water. I tried the 3rd story and guess what there was another machine, but it also didn't stock water. I met a guest on the way back down and he was going to the most out of the way bar I have ever seen. He said they probably had water. They did and I bought one. Have you ever seen the ad for Holiday Inn's breakfast? HOT! HOT! HOT! The breakfast at this hotel should have been COLD! COLD! COLD! Cold hard boiled eggs, frozen potatoes, nothing hot on the breakfast bar. I don't want to fix breakfast while on the road. I want to eat and go. The only cereal was Honey nut cheerios and raisin bran. Some people can't eat nuts and some can't eat bran. Only had on type of tea, orange something or the other. Lots of older people live in Florida and can't eat everything that younger people can eat. Hot eggs and potatoes would have been fine, but that didn't happen. Couldn't find anyone in the breakfast area, but as we were leaving, here comes two people carrying bags of groceries. Plan ahead???

Very Enjoyable stay
By COFLZephyr, 4/19/08
Have traveled as a consultant for more than 20 years and live in hotels 250 days+/year. This was a nice stay. New property, clean rooms, found pillows a little soft but still very comfortable. King bed was firm and comfortable. Evening dining was limited to the sports bar but food was good and reasonable. Comparable to a TGI Friday. Aesthetics good, staff very pleasant and friendly, pool area is quite nice as is the lobby. Morning breakfast is ok but I am not fond of continental breakfasts. Did not use the sleeper sofa but then I have never found one of those to be comfortable. Ever. Even as a kid when my parents would have me sleep on one I would put the mattress on the floor. Would have no issues staying again or recommending it. I had a discounted group room rate but even for $20 a night more (advertised rate) it would be a good value call. Very nice quite location.

Never Return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/6/07
The pillows were like a rock along with the mattress. The sleeper sofa was like sleeping on a board. The blankets looked like there was something growing on them. I will never return.

Not too happy!
By eddie, 7/13/07
As African Americans we were treated unfairly and disrespectful, during check-in. Warning! Do not go to the Dairy Queen near the Hotel, the employees were very unfriendly, I witnessed a young man cleaning his fingernails , and my food was undercooked! We were very dissapointed and really expected better but I guess one must never assume!
