If you are looking to relax and unwind this is the place. This was the first time at an adult only resort. How do we tell the kids we are never taking them again. Just kidding. The service was great, the atmosphere was relaxing, the food was plentiful. There is plenty to do if you are tired of relaxing, yoga, pilates, massage, spa treatments, salsa dancing lessons. We will make this trip many times.
I was amzed @ the level of service. The employees were very pleasant. It was very relaxing. The spa was a delight. We never left the grounds b/c all we needed to unwind was right there. It was great not to have any kids around. We had no problems @ all!
My wife and I had our wedding here six months ago, with 30 guests. We cannot wait to go back! The room, food, resort, basically everything was amazing. The wedding staff made the whole proccess simple and fun. The gazebo where the ceremony is held is breathtaking. For anyone considering this as a location for a getaway or a wedding, we would highly reccommend it.
My husband and I just spent 4 nights at Aventura Spa Palace and we can sum it up by saying it was not long enough.
The rooms were great. The food was outstanding and the service was fantastic. We really had no complaints other than the fact that we did not have enough time there.
The location is pretty far south of Cancun, about $65 cab fare. There is no real beach, but the water inlet was quite nice and was fun to go snorkeling in. Lots of activities, close to excursion sites and overall, just a blast and money well spent!!!!
I had a great time!!!...great service, great food and a lot of entertaiment!!!....close to everything, so there was always something to do....all I can say is I will always have a big smile every time I think of my trip to Cancun.
My husband and I love Aventura Spa. However, we have some problems with our room. They gave us a room that was stuck in the corner with hardly any view. So we went back twice until we got put on a waiting list for the next day. Not sure why since the hotel was not at all full. I guess they have member room and non-member rooms. We were on the bottom of the totem pole, I guess. The beds were somewhat hard, not the pillowtop I prefer. Also, with a slight sunburn, the towels were very coarse. The spa was magnificant. I had the most unbelieveable massage to muscles I didn't even know I had. I got up feeling like I was walking on a cloud. Also, one other draw back would be that I really missed not have a true ocean to enter. They had lagoons that was ocean fed, but no access to the actual ocean and beach. I would of loved to snorkel out on the reefs at the hotel rather than signing up for snorkel excursions. I would highly recommend the Mayan Adventure snorkel tour and Excret. The show in the evening was amazing. The nice thing about Excret and the hotel was that it was only 15 mins away. So during the day you were able to catch a bus back to eat at the hotel after all your snorkeling and swimming, get freshened up and return two hours later to tour the resort and see the animals, bird etc and stay for the show at 7pm. It's a long day but well worth it. My husband and I were extremely disappointed for the lack of nightlight. We missed dancing under the stars to Jazz, Caribbean music or even some Jimmy Buffett or Bob Marley sounds nightly. That was a real disappointment.
We went to Aventura Spa Palace for our honeymoon. It is a all couples resort (no children allowed). We had a blast. The people we friendly, the food was great, entertainment was nice. I never had so much fun on a vacation. If you plan on traveling and want to have a laid back good time. Aventura is the place to go.
Everything about this resort was top-notch. I still can't get over how friendly and helpful the all the hotel staff was. They would do anything to make your stay the best it could be. Food was also excellent and it was nice that it was all-inclusive. Everything was very well kept. I would have never guessed that they devastated by hurricane Wilma last year, everything is in perfect shape. The setting gives a very relaxed feel becuase it's adults only. The ride from the airport is a little long (just over an hour) but that has its advantages... (closer to Tulum and Playa de Carmen). All-around beautiful place. I would definately remcommend it!
We spent our Honeymoon at the Aventura Spa Palace on 05/08/06
The trip from the airport to he hotel was just over an hour, a bit longer than what we expected.
If you want to go on any of the tours, you MUST schedule your tour one day in advance, so I recomend that you do this the first morning you are at the hotel.
You will do alot of walking while you are at the hotel, make sure you take your most comfortable shoes. Our legs were hurting pretty bad by day 3 from all of the walking, but a nice massage took care of that!
To our disapointment, there is NO BEACH! There are several pools, and a lagoon, but no white sandy beaches.
The service was amazing! Every single employee greeted us with a very warm smile and an "Ola". We had the same maid the whole week that we there, he was so kind, and seemed like a very happy person.
The Food Was very good, there are 7 different places to eat, we tried them all. lots of sea food, whitch we love!
We are planning to go back to a Palace Hotel again next spring.
Enjoy your trip!
You'd never know that this resort was hit hard by two hurricanes last year. It's absolutely beautiful and every member of the staff go out of their way to please the guests. No matter what they were doing, every employee greeted us with "Ola" and a smile.
The food was delicious at every restaurant. It's too bad we weren't there long enough to visit them all! The cost was a bargain for the food, drinks, and a very accomodating room.
