Avoid checkin and checkout

We had an enjoyable time, except for the beginning and end. The guard at the gate could not understand that we were guests of the hotel and was insistent on a 50 QR per person entrance charge (we finally prevailed). I have been married for 30 years and it was the first time I have ever been asked to produce a marriage license or to be asked to signoff on a list of the room contents (bed, curtains, soap dish, etc.) with complete price list. Checkout included a 15 minute wait in the lobby as they verified the room contents. They insist on a 1,500 QR authorization deposit per room on your credit card and I am currently working on correcting my billing as they charged my card twice. Makes one wonder about the clientele.
