Fairfield Inn Roseville, Roseville

My luggage was dragged through dog poo before I got in the front door; room was not ready by promised reservation time, the gum-smacking desk clerk was rude; I had to wait 45 minutes; although I had a confirmed reservation, they lost my reservation and my 'guaranteed' room rate disappeared along with it; the A/C in the first room did not work so I had to move (and wait 45 minutes again) for a second room with no towels; I dare you to try and get a clean towel (they all smelled of mold); the all-night whine of the passing cars was deafening while I tried to readjust all night on the brick bed; there surely us a rowdy tavern very close because it the shouting in the parking lot got so loud that the police came twice; some inventive idiot ran down the hall and banged on all the doors on my floor at 3am; I was frazzled with worry all night; when I finally checked out, I found an $81.00 charge on my bill (for a call that was made 3 hours before I even occupied the room); wow California sure does add a lot of room tax to the bill also. I think I would have had a better experience sleeping on a park bench.
