Dirty Carpet and dirty pillow cases
First of all, arriving to a new and unfamiliar city, there should always be someone tending the desk phone. I was concerned that I was lost driving from the O'hare Airport, so I pulled over on and exit to call the hotel to make sure I was heading in the right directions. (I certainly did not want to turn around and go in the opposite directions because the traffic was going at a snail's pace), So I called and I repeatedly got the recording that I was beening transferred to an attendance, which never happened. I finally arrived at the hotel and quess what?, there was an attendant, but why he did not answer the phone is beyond me.
The entrance into the hotel is ok. But when you get on the elevator to go to your room-immediately when the doors open there is filthy stained carpet. I was on the 2nd floor and it was filthy the entire length of the hallway. Huge nasty stains. When I arrived in my room, I pulled back the covers and instantly I saw brown stains on the pillowcase as if someone had drooled on it. Not just one pillowcase, but all of them. It makes me question whether the linen had been changed. There were toilet paper on the floor behind the dresser.
Extended Stay Hotels need to do a better job @ housekeeping and cleanliness.
