black hole of calcutta
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/07
This place was probably the worst "hotel" I've ever stayed in. It was filthy, with a nice big black spider to welcome me in the tub. Towels were see-through. NOTHING at all like the picture. Furniture was nasty, smelly, dirty. Walls were crumbling. I had to spend 6 nights here thanks to my cheap sister. Camping would have been cleaner. We also smelled gas leaking from the heater the entire time. Best of all, our "suite" was on the top floor, which meant lots of stairs. I didn't test the pool, although I did see one guest attempt to go in, then changed her mind and left. DON'T STAY HERE AND DON'T SAY YOU HAVEN'T BEEN WARNED!

hilside inn

I was expecting something like the photos showed on the internet. NOT. instead, got a room with nothing special, heater did not work,I had to go and get a portable heater at 8pm at night. the sink faucet dripped, cracks around the door and the curtians were TAPED with surgical tape to the wall. the beadspread had a cigerate hole in it. the breakfast was not set out in a appealing look. I was dissapointed period.

Not a very good choice of places.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/04
It's not the "end of the world" if you have to stay at this place, but it's close. The rooms are VERY small. I stayed there three times (in three different rooms) until I found an alternate place at almost the same price (just 3 miles away). Some rooms have no heating at all -- really. TVs don't all have remote controls. Showers have dreadfully low water flow. NO amenities such as coffee, drinking glasses, ashtrays (in my smoking room), Kleenex, or shampoo, not even an alarm clock. The rooms "feel" dirty, but in fairness they weren't. The furniture and beds definitely have outlived their useful lives and need to be replaced. The front desk closes early and opens late. The free continental breakfast buffet consisted of corn flakes, one package of english muffins, one loaf of wheat bread, coffee, milk, and that's it-- same thing all three times. For exactly one dollar more per night, I now stay at Walnut Creek Motor Lodge just about 3 miles away -- it's amazingly better for the same price.

Outdated
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/04
The rooms are outdated, air conditioning smells, beds are old with burn holes in mattresses, towels are rags, there is a table in the room to use as a desk with no light, and the shower hot water control in inoperable. Spend a few dollars more and stay somewhere else.
