You will not be dissapointed....really.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/11
Likes: Everything. Dislikes: Only able to spend 2 weeks there. The site is very well kept, the gardens have matured well since the build has been finished. The pools are first class, clean & welcoming. Loads of sun beds/ sun-shades. The Chill Bar is expensive (up to 12 euros for a large Pina Colada) and 5 euros for a white coffee. We used the on-site Market Place supermarket quite a bit for drinks/ food, Friendly bi-lingual staff. Accommodation: We had a 2 bed 2nd floor apartment, with lots of space inside + a covered balcony with table/ 6 chairs and a view of the sea.. Well equipped full kitchen. Large fridge/ freezer & washer + dryer. Safe in main bedroom. Free car parking on-site. ALL Marriott staff are friendly, approachable, well trained and polite. Bedrooms have very comfortable beds/ bedding. Just 20 minutes drive to Marbella & 40 minutes to Malaga airport. So many golf courses close by to satisfy all. Restaurants galore within a 2 mile radius + El Med on-site restaurant where the themed evenings are well done. Not the cheapest but one of the best we have stayed at. Well done Marriott.

Showing its age
By KC, 12/3/07
The facility is basically beautiful. But the service was a little unclear. The beach towels - they say they replace them in the middle of the week, but they take them away from you. Very confusing. Also - taxis - they won't take any more than 4 people. In America, you can pile as many people as you want - no one would explain that you needed multiple taxis and when we ordered a minivan to take all of us, we didn't get one - instead just 2 taxis. Really comfortable beds!

Beware of timeshare sales pitch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/1/07
We purchased a two bedroom apartment about 7 years ago. It was looking 'tired' in 2006! When we went for our sales interview one of the questions we asked the sales representative was that if we ever had to sell our apartment would Marriott buy it back from us. We were assured that they would if there was a need for our type of Gold accommodation. Unfortunately our financial situation has changed dramatically forcing us to sell our apartment. Marriott recently told us that there was a shortage of the Gold time we held and they would put it on their re-sale list. Note that they did not offer to purchase it back from us as promised! The purchase price for our time is currently around £18,000 (Sterling) and we hoped to be offered 60% giving us approximately what we paid for it i.e. £12,500. So buyers beware! It is a lovely place to holiday.

Crackin Timeshare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/07
Great Timeshare from the Travel & Leisure Group. Very Clean which always makes me feel more comfortable. Spacious Units, not one of those nasty rooms with just enough space to walk around the bed. Great food, not too expensive.

Rich and Dr. Linda W's Marbella Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/07
Everyone goes on vacation for a myriad of reasons. Some have little ones that need excitement, sun, and water, while others may just want to relax. Well, we fit into the second group. My wife and I are professionals and lead extremely busy lifestyles. Our 2 children, who are not children anymore, are on their own and it is just us. When we go away we want to “get lost”. No phones, fax’s, e-mails, PDA’s, Blackberry’s etc. We just returned from the Marriott Marbella site and are just ecstatic. The property was extremely well maintained, the staff could not do enough for you, and the location was perfect. First, the property was manicured everyday and spotless. Also, there was sangria, Spanish, paella classes’ etc, everyday to keep you busy if you did not choose to leave the location. Second, the staff was supreme. When we arrived we were told of the villa which we were to occupy and my wife asked for one that faced the Mediterranean and our request was immediately granted. Before we left our home in the USA my wife asked that I do not forget our voltage converter. Well I forgot it, as I have in the past, and now have four of them. I asked the concierge where I could get one and the concierge stated that the store is kind of hidden and that he would pick one up on his way home and that we could pay him in the morning. This is just one of many courtesies that were extended to us. Our villa was spacious, extremely clean, and had everything we needed, as I love gourmet cooking and I was in heaven. I suggest a rental car as the Malaga airport has all the major brands and the pick-up and return is exceptionally easy. Navigating through the streets and highways was very easy with our six-speed diesel Renault. Major credit cards are accepted everywhere. Supermarkets begin with the 7-11 size all the way up to supermarkets resembling Wal-Mart’s. If you travel down A-7, towards Marbella, and get off at the Ojen Exit, there is a huge Circuit-City size electronic store, Home Depot size furnishing store, WalMart size everything store, with an enclosed mall in an area called La Canada. Too many stories to mention here, but the trip was fabulous and the property and staff were the same. The site is owned by Marriott and I need not say more. My wife and I travel all over the world every year as we own four timeshare weeks through Marriott. If anyone is pondering purchasing a Marriott timeshare, just email us and we will close the deal. We have had our timeshares since 1995 and have NEVER been disappointed.

Our Home Away from Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/8/06
We own a time share and selected the Marriott Marbella Resort for our trip to Spain. Having lived in Andalucia for over 3 years, we were returning to see old friends and this was the perfect spot to center our activities around. Our condo was wonderful and the staff top-notch. I lost an earring in the bathroom drain and two men came up and worked for almost an hour, but did retrieve my lost opal earring!!! We were so impressed that we purchased a timeshare at the new Plaza Andaluza in Estepona and are returning in 2007. This is a terrific value for the price. y only complaint was the restaurant...I thought the food was so-so and the prices were a bit steep. We ate there only once and then went out into town for the rest of our meals when we didn't cook in our condo.

Great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/14/05
I stayed here with my parents in a two bedroom suite. The ammenities were great, it was clean, and Marbella is a great launching spot for the south of Spain. We're used to big sandy beaches on the East Coast of the US, so this brown-sanded and rocky beach was a let-down. The concierge service is extremely slow, so go at the beginning of your trip or you'll never get things booked! Overall, great experience.

Loved the amenities!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/24/05
Mariott is definetley a name that won't let you down. I stayed in a 3 bedroom villa which accomidated a total of 7 of my friends and family. Having a kitchen helped us save thousands of Euro in cost of restuarants and taxi rides. Theres is a "Opencor" market (kinda like a fancy 7 eleven) and a "Super Sol" super market in walking distance. The grounds are immaculate and very clean. The premises is gaurd gated 24 hours a day which made it very exclusive to its guest. Also has beach access to the meditterainian sea. We planned tours through the Marriott to Grenada and Morrocco. We had our own tour guide and tour bus exclusive to Marriott guest (Marbella & Andaluza) in Morrocco which was a impressive surprise and felt my investment in the Marriott was valued. Parking is underground which is sectioned of for your unit so you have direct access to you villa area. no need to look for a taxi just call the front desk. one will be called for you. Puerta Banus is close by and cost about 24 euro for a taxi ride there so you can party and get as drunk as you want all night. Peek time for clubbing/disco in Puerta Banus is 1am-6am. A great place for your people back packing in europe. I met a group of 8 backpacker who met there and said it was there fancy place to stay during there journey. Overall my freinds and family were impressed.

time share owner recommendation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/8/04
The resort is spectacular. It is on the Med. and has a great beach. It also has sereral pools. It is within easy driving distances of Seville,Granada and Gibralter, It has about 40 golf courses within ten miles. Most are very reasonably priced. It is very close to the town of Marbella (beautiful) and Puerto Banus (very beautiful also). My wife and I love the area and purchased a time share at the resort. We have owned it for about 5 years and have yet to go everywhere and see everything in the area. If you like southern California you will love the resort and the area.
