The Busena Terrace Beach Resort, Nago-Shi

When I stayed here, I was living in Okinawa, and just wanted to see what this place was all about. The staff are all about doing their job, not about going the extra mile to make your stay memorable. When it came around to dinner time, all the restaurants, I think there were maybe 5, were all booked with wedding parties and what not. The guy at the front desk just smiled and said "Sorry for the inconvenience." This hotel is located miles from any restaurants, so getting food became an issue. There are some, but it's a hassle having to walk all the way to the parking lot, and then hoping to come back and have your spot still available. We ended up going to a nearby convinience store and eating instant ramen. I've talked with others that have told me that the restaurant issue has happened to them, and I have talked to many people in the hotel business that have told me that Busena is notorious for doing this. Apparently they make more money booking restaurants with dinner parties than normal nights. Big Inconvenience for everybody else! If anybody is planning to stay here, ask in advance of any events. If you can, make a reservation for a restaurant when you book your room, that way they are responsible if they can't come through.
