9 reviews for Sleep Inn, Clearwater
A wonderful place to stay!
By b N, 08/06/08
We have stayed in Sleep Inn's in many places and this was one of the best. The manager of the hotel was very personable and did all he could to make our stay a comfortable one. A number of family members had traveled to the Clearwater area due to a death in the family, and the management worked hard to give us rooms close together and at a fair rate. If there was a problem, he was there to personally handle it. Our whole family appreciated the friendliness of all the employees, and the cleanliness of the rooms. If we needed extra towels, or anything else, they were able to provide them. I would most definately stay there again, and probably will the next time we travel to the area.

An excellent stay at Sleep Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/08
We stayed July 7 - 11, 2008. We had an excellent experience at this hotel. It was built like every traditional Sleep Inn, but found the pool and hot tub to be especially nice, and recieved excellent service. We requested that a refridgerator be placed in the room for our 3 day stay, and had one delivered not long after arriving. The room was very clean, with wireless, (or wired) high speed internet that actually worked with little trouble. There were in room movies and a good variety of channels on our television. The manager accommodated a 12:30 check out so that we could make the most of the lovely pool, which we had to ourselves almost day we were here. Ulmerton Road set us not more that 15 minutes from the beach, and there was easy access to most any restuarant we could want. A review above noted a "strip club" across the street::: we would have never noticed it. Not in a seedy area, four lanes across the road sat a classy (if they can be classy) gentleman's club, but one that didn't intrude on the landscape, and didn't "jump out at you" from the hotel. We easily got directions from hotel staff, and felt that we got personalized service at every turn. We had the traditional condinental breakfast, but also had hot waffles at breakfast time. The hotel looked lovely outside and in, and I would recommend that others consider this hotel when looking for a spot in Clearwater. We will stay here every time we return to this beautiful area. We also used reward points to stay, and got no flack at all about our "zero balance" when we left. We are a couple and a 9 year old, and it actually satisfied every one of us.

We will definitely go back.
By Areli, 06/17/08
Hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. They were all very informative and pleasant all the time. The food was very good and the cleanliness of the rooms and overall the whole hotel including all the breakfast room and pool area always kept up well. I totally recommend it. We will definitely go back.

No complaints here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/07
We stayed at the Sleep Inn in Clearwater last week after going on a cruise. We arrived early since our ship was in Tampa by 7am. Check in time was 2:00 but the man at the desk let us check in before 11:00 am. The room was very clean. My girls went swimming in the pool and it was also clean. A little small, but we had been on the ocean for 5 days so any bit of water was going to seem small. Wi-fi in the hotel lobby. Very quiet at night. No loud partiers. Several restaurants in the area. I can't comment on the breakfast since we had a VERY early flight in the morning and checked out before breakfast was served. Only a 3 minute drive to Clearwater/St Petersburg Airport. Very happy with my stay at the Sleep Inn in Clearwater. Would stay there again if in the area.

Great for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/11/07
Excellent for those visiting the Moffitt Cancer Institute and VA Hospital -- they offer discounts (upon request) to patients and their families. Not far from USF and Busch Gardens, but removed from tourist traffic. Stayed there several times.

Okay...Not Great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/07/05
I found it to be very loud. Not nearly as restfull as I would like. Very thin walls. I had neighbors who were Very Loud. They would knock on each others doors at all hours and stand by the whirlpool (very close to my room) and have conversations at high volume. My parents room across the hall had little bugs in it. The staff did not respond to my parent's complaints at check out. I did like that it was right next to Cracker Barrell. Also, the staff was courteous during our stay.
