Excellent place to stay!!!!
By Leslie, 3/10/08
Excellent hotel to stay at when in South Haven. The staff is extremelly helpful and professional, we arrived early and they got us right into our room. The kids really enjoyed the pool area and their fitness room. We didn't even have to go to the store when I noticed we forgot somethings because they have a nice little gift shop right in the hotel. It is a small drive to get to town but, it's well worth it for all the hotel had to offer. My husband being in business enjoyed the business center so he could even check his e-mail while we were there.

Go Elsewhere!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/28/08
From the website we thought this would be a nice place, but it was not. Very dirty. The pool had a strange liner. We could feel the broken up concrete underneath. The hot tub was being fixed--and had been for months. The halls and windows were dirty as was the room itself. The chairs in the breakfest room were stained and the high chairs were filthy. The location is definately not picturesque--between a gas station and the Walmart parking lot. We went during a festival and the price was outrageous, especially for such a rundown, dirty place.

Boring
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/06
We liked the look of their website but they are no where near the water like their name implies. Rooms were boring and not very clean. Our room had a great view of the Walmart parking lot. Trucks going in and out and bright lights were keeping us up. We're not going back here.

Dirty Motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/10/06
The motel was absolutely filthy, at least the roaches were at home. We DO NOT plan on staying here again. Rename it Roach Motel would be good.

The Great Escape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/23/06
Beachfront towns....what's NOT to like? South Haven is definitely one of the best, with miles of sandy beach, all free to access. The little town is pretty too, with cute shops and nice eateries. Choose the B&Bs, not the hotels. We stayed at a family hotel out by the Walmart and it certainly had seen cleaner days. We loved the little Depot Train Station deli/wine store, and the Kal Haven Trail is gorgeous for biking/hiking. We also attended The BlueBerry Festival once...fun, but crowded. All in all, we loved South Haven!
