Think about the worst place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/06
First, I would like to address the positive reviews given to this hotel. If the reviews were by hotel management, then I understand: they want to improve business. I can't think anyone else would have a single word of praise for this so-called hotel except that it is close to the airport. But then why would you want to give money for something that you don't get - a respectable place to stay?
I have lived in extended stay in other cities so I decided to stay in this one on my business visit to Chicago. Though I arrived at 3:00 PM, the hotel management did not have a room ready yet. Without even caring to apologise, they made me sit in one of the greasy chairs in their lobby. After about an hour or so, someone finally handed me my room card. I had to walk thru the dingiest of lobbies to my room which actually really depressed me...there was some kind of spice powder in the kitchen cabinets, just 2 pieces of cookware, greasy, smelling bed that still had the previous occupant's hair clinging to the pillow. I guess I want to write a lot of things about the hotel but this should be enough to warn you.
