Not old enough to be so worn down

I'm amazed at how fast this hotel has worn down. The carpets were dirty and the walls of the room dingy. There was one towel, no wash cloth and no toilet paper when we checked in. The owners really need to address the cleanliness issues, especially with a newer hotel across the street, and another hotel in the planning stages nearby.
