Never again

Dirty, uninterested staff, heater didn't work, hard to find staff. Not worth the money. Loud partying going on all night, doors slamming all night. Cold shower in the morning. Lack of information about the shuttle to Naval Base. Lousy breakfast selection. Outdated televisions with very few channels. Skip it. Go to Gurnee and get a room. You won't be sorry.

HOTEL NOT FIT FOR COCKROACHES!!!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!! This place is scary!! I believe is the a drug house. The place is filthy and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything that is going on. The hotel smells like vomit and smoke. The beds are dirty and the towels (or lack of) are like sandpaper. There are no amenities such as microwaves or refrigerators. The continential breakfast is not maintained. They had nothing available. The cereal was old. There was no milk. The staff was not friendly or helpful at all. The hotel promotes being newly renovated (yes back in 1990). DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I loved staying there plus it is very close to six flags great america we had a great time there to so I would recomend this hotel to anybody!!

Amazing hotel for the price

Visiting my son at the Great Lakes Navy Base, this hotel is the best around. They renovated all the rooms and the lobby, the staff was beyond helpful, and they even got me a free shuttle to the base. The staff was lovely, and I had a great stay here. I believe since the last review they have overhauled their hotel since my experience was nothing like hers. Will definitely be staying here from now on when I'm in the area.

avoid like the plague

would not stay again for the following reasons: 1) one of the bath towels was stained, 2) the vending machine in the lobby was inoperable, 3) "breakfast" consisted of cereal w/o milk, bowls or utensils, 4) after checkout i realized i had left my jacket hanging in the room and called to have it sent to me; was told that no jacket had been found. 5) noticed when filing my expense report that i did not have a guest slip, so i called to have one faxed over. after calling repeatedly for the past month, i'm still waiting on it. despite its proximity to great lakes, there is absolutely nothing i can recommend about this excuse for a hotel.
