Unclean rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/10
I wouldn't let my Dog take a vacation in this hotel. The beds wasn't comfortable, room spell like smoke, requested for an none smoking room. I recieved a smoking room. There was people outside the rooms that been staying there over six months. had there dogs and cats and other animals greeting people as they come to check in...This place wasn't for me at all...

Crustland

Well this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The attitude and service of clerks and the Manager (Benita) was absolutely terrible. I wondered to my wife how this place stays open with customer service this bad. Next, we got to our room it was not what we reserved, we brushed it off and took it. The room smelled of rotten food and there were bugs all over, we were going to leave, but found out the whole town was booked up. At about 3am in the morning we hear screaming and cursing and someone beating on doors. I got up and looked out and there was a man with blood all over him. trying to get into a room.We called 911, packed up and left and drove back to Texas. I called the manager (Benita) on the following Monday to convey my complaints. She was very nonchalant about the whole situation, and became increasingly angry with me, as I told her our story. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT CROSSLAND AGAIN.

Constantly Amazed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/17/07
I would have to say that with each stay I am constantly amazed at the personal attention to detail for my comfort that I recieve with each stay. Albeit, I am a "regular" customer at this hotel, I don't feel that this earns me merit, as it doesn't reflect the attention I receive at the other hotels I stay in. I would love to mention names: Kim, the manager, absolutely goes above and beyond making me comfortable during my stay. Felicia at the front desk, always greets me with a smile, and those that I can't remember their names do likewise. I would reccomend this hotel, and I do to any associates staying in the area. If you ever have a problem, the problem is resolved within a matter of minutes. Don't pass this deal up if given a choice.....you won't be disappointed..I assure you. I was so mad at this place I did not even proof read my review I posted earlier.. Just dont stay here and waste your time and money....
By m1, 1/30/07
This was by far the worst hotel experience of my lifetime. I would like to forward a more detailed response but not sure it will fit in this little box. Staff was extremely unprofessional and stay was horrible. I reserved two rooms with my credit card, one room for a queen bed and one room for 2 double beds. When I arrived at 7:00 pomp I was told that only the room was guaranteed and not the type. I was given two rooms with two double beds and they were also smoking rooms, I requested non smoking rooms. Not to mention the horrible front desk clerk had her 2 yr old baby girl behind the counter with her as she was checking in customers and this child was acting like... well acting like a 2 yr old should and was highly distracting to the clerk and to myself. Needless to say, I got my rooms but not the ones I reserved... We get to the rooms and they were the most basic and run down room I can remember and for $68 a night I would at least expect a step up from a motel 6 but was sadly mistaken. Even the smoke detector was sitting on the table and not on the ceiling like it should be. The room was made up but not presentable and I was not happy but we were exhausted and stayed. In the morning we wake up and decided if we want to stay another miserable night or just pack up or numerous bags and find another place. I was out voted and we decided to call the desk and tell them we were going to stay another night. The lady said I needed to come down and sign my credit card slip and I did. We went about our day and then around 9:00 p.m we got back to the property, I just had a sick feeling about that place and I said, I pray to god the room is clean. We left the room at 10:00 that morning after the rude maid knocked on our door and said "Yal'll leaving or staying another niyte." So my gut said the room was probably not too clean. I opened the door and the place was just as we left it 12 hours ago. Beds not made up, towels not refreshed, garbage not emptied or anything. I blew my top!!! Had we just packed our bags, checked out and then re-checked back in to the hotel we would surely be guaranteed a clean, refreshed room. Instead I called the front desk and said we were staying another night. MY ROOM WAS NOT EVEN TOUCHED ALL DAY!! I called the front desk and unfortunately I was not too kind to this woman and let into her like no bodies business. I was so mad that this room had not been touched or even the towels refreshed I just lost it and let into her on the tele. She in turn let into me back and said, "Sir, you have requested an extended stay and we don’t clean rooms on just one extended day." I told her that I called in the morning to advise them we would be staying another night... i even went and signed my credit card slip. It was not like we were extended customers. Had I just walked in off the street and paid the same $68 I would have a clean room. Instead I got nothing but headaches and dirty towels in a room that should be condemned for the smoke detector not being put up and the nasty dirty metal counter in the closet sized bathroom. I was furious at this hotel!! Still am I assure you. I paid $68 X 4, two rooms for two nights and am so unhappy with what went on during my stay that I just don’t know what to do besides write here and any other corporate email address I can find along with the Shreveport better business bureau and maybe the PBA as I was there on a PBA tour stop and decided to try you trashy hotel. I feel I need to alert the PBA and let them know how they treat guests. Then the woman on the phone had the nerve to call me back in my room and shout back at me..."Well sir, I guess you will just know better next time and not stay here!" I can assure you... that will not be a problem. The dates of my stay were: 1/26 - 1/28.

Great Place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/6/06
The rooms are probably the best value on the market. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. Just to mention a few, Kim, Ruby, and Felicia. All have gone above and beyond to make my stays comfortable. Would like to see coffee packets in the room though..... Thanks!

Great Stay!
By Ashley J, 8/10/06
We were totally blown away when we walked into the room. It was extremely clean and nice. Everything was super clean and the people at the desk were very helpful. The location is super close to everything. We are planning a stay in a few weeks so hopefully we will experience the same thing.
