Hotel Nikko Hanoi, Hanoi

Very pleaseant. Comfortable, the food very delicious and the gentmant very handsome.... But the price is too expensive... Do u believe that i was at Nikon Hotel? hahaha...u think u shouldn't because, i joked. :)):)):))

Nikko Hotel is located 3 km south of the Old Quarter. We are very impressed with their high quality service. The decor of the room is simple yet elegant. We were fortunate to be upgraded free of charge to an end-unit of the non-smoking floor, which boast a huge bedroom with a living area. It even has an entrance area with a little workout equipment ! The buffet breakfast is excellent, with a generous choice of authenic Japanese and American breakfast, plus vietnamese pho noodle ! The food is very well prepared and fresh. The only downside is that the staff at front desk and concierge does not speak English very well. Location is also not convenient. Bus is not convenient so the only effective transportation is Taxi, which could charge from USD $4 to $6 commuting between the Hotel and the Old Quarter. Some Taxi drivers are not very honest -- we recommend travellers to NOT to take those taxis stopping at the front of the Old Quarter (Water Puppet Theatre). We got cheated more than one time taking taxi from there! The taxi 'meter' somehow jump double or triple the distance !

With its sleek and airy lobby affording a peek into a tiny Japanese garden, this 15-story hotel is a shining example of understated Japanese elegance. The rooms are both simple and luxurious, with light, understated wooden furniture and large closets. The corner suites have spacious bathrooms that overlook Lenin Park across the street. Superior and executive rooms are the same size, but the latter have more windows. Three restaurants serve Japanese, Chinese, or French food: the Chinese dining room does an excellent Sunday dim sum, and Restaurant Benkay has the most authentic -- and most expensive -- Japanese food in town.
