We WANT to stay here again!
By Christina, 09/21/09
it was awsome! nice hotel in a cool little city. most importantly just 2 short blocks from the T stop. made life very easy. . . considering were pushing a stroller everywhere we were going. helpfull staff as far as directions calling cabs and over all hospitality! the girls on the night staff were extra friendly and helpfull. the FREE breakfast was perfect. . . not just muffins and pastrys, but a very satisfying meal. including eggs sausage waffles and more. over all we were very pleased with the value, service, cleanliness, and location. we were very happy with location its NOT downtown boston, and thats what we wanted not only for the value, but also because we have a baby. . . this is a safe neighborhood with multipal stores within walking distance. (target supermarket misc. stores and local eateries open late! some till 4am) we really enjoyed our experiance and cant wait to do it again. Art, Christina, and Dustin

well worth the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/06
The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. Staff was friendly and willing to secure taxis when asked. Also, free wireless internet in roooms was a plus. The fridge in the rooom worked but needed to be secured - on its last legs.

Very Friendly Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/06
I thought this hotel was excellent. The T was close by, the staff very friendly and overall excellent value. We were a few stops from Government Center and overall a very easy location. Our room was large and well equipped. I would stay here again in a minute.

Close to town, taxi ordered by Hotel Managment, Friendly Staff, yet dirty tables in the morning, Breakfast is 7-10. Average sized rooms and good sized Batherooms. AC in every room.

i'd stay here again
By coyote, 03/16/06
Rooms were a good sive . We had a king sized bed with sleeper couch , a full desk and extra lounge chair. Mini fridge and microwave helped keep food and drink costs down. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful, keeping the coffepot fresh and fresh warm cookies were put out at night. The breakfast was good and the staff kept the bins stocked. Walking distance to Galleria Mall and a grocery store and convenient to t and busses.20 minute drive to downtown. would recomend it to anyone wanting a reasonable place to stay near downtown and mass general hospital. only bad comment is to watch the price changes when u reserve. we were quoted a price then it changed mid week and we were given a highr=er rate then quoted. This was rectified but a pain when checking out

Not the best hotel, but not the worst either
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/05
Stayed in the Holiday Inn Cambridge for over a month, some of the staff are very friendly, a few seem a little anti social and reluctant to help. Breakfast gets boring fast but that's pretty much the case with any hotel in this category.

The pits
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/05
We woke up to abolutely no hot water and a lot of excuses about a power failure, which had occurred 8 hours earlier. We moved to a different hotel for the second night, even though we had prepaid for two nights. It does not get much worse than that.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/04
I called the hotel directly to make a reservation and specifically asked about nearby public transportation. I was told that a t-stop (subway stop) was only a few blocks away. The day before I was set to leave for Boston, a friend familiar with the city told me that the nearby t-stop was closed and has been closed for months. It had already been closed for months when I made my reservation. When I called the hotel to inquire further, I spoke with an unfriendly and uncooperative employee who confirmed that the t-stop is closed. I asked why this hadn't been mentioned earlier, and was told that most employees are not aware of this closure. I was very disappointed and cancelled my reservation. I got a last minute reservation elsewhere (only 2 blocks from a t-stop that is actually open and in service), with good customer service and informed and pleasant employees.
