Nothing but trouble
The rooms were OK but staff organization, recordkeeping and computer system are a recipe for trouble...and that is just what I had. I called 3 times before my arrival to make sure my 2nd room reservation was canceled. Each time I called, the staff person with whom I talked seemed distracted and was full of excuses..sorry our computer system is slow today or sorry our computer system isn't working well today. But each time I was told the room was canceled. After those 3 calls I knew I would have problems with my cancellation and billing.. and sure enough I did. The 2nd room was still under my name when we arrived. Fortunately, my brother ended up needing the room and stayed in the room all but the 1st night of the reservation. But sure enough...I was charged for the first night. I even talked to a desk clerk in person to make sure they knew of my 3 attempts/calls to cancel the reservation & was assured they had the cancellation information and that, no, I wouldn't be charged for the room. When I received my credit card bill and saw that I was charged for one night on the canceled room, I called & told them I had canceled that reservation and asked to have the one night charge canceled. I explained I had called 3 times before my arrival to verify the cancellation and each time was I told it was canceled. I was told it could not be done unless I could give them the cancellation number. I didn't have the cancellation number.I know they can pull up my file without the cancellation number. Any time I've called other motels to correct cancellation charges it was done without any question. Of course, those were professional, first-class, customer service focused motels.I have never experienced this level of poor, poor customer service. Also I was told the business manager would call me about this..never happened. I called back again and asked to speak to the manager ... he/she was not in at the time. I have yet to successfully talk to the manager and rectify this situation.
If you want nothing but trouble and poor service stay at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Grapevine TX. Maybe after I contact the Texas attorney general and the better business bureau I will get the charges taken off my credit card.
