Comfort Suites Scranton, Scranton

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel for New Years Eve . It was the best hotel we have ever stayed at . We have stayed at other highend hotels in the past such as Marriots and Hyatt hotels . None of those hotels compare to this hotel , especially for the money . The 24 hr coffee bar was great with 3 different types of coffees and hot cocoa for our kids . The hotel staff was great and when asked if we could get a early check in they took care of us without attitude . The pool was great and the hot tub was huge . The game room was pretty good too. The breakfast in the morning was just right . Now the only complaint that I would have is that there wasn't enough seating for everyone for the morning breakfast . So people were always trying to take your chair . Plus it seemed like people didn't watch their children very well down at the pool . I would strongly recommened this hotel to everyone and if you do bring your kids be courteous and keep an I on them it would make everyones stay alot better .

Right when we walked in, we were welcomed! The hotel was right off I 81! All the staff was friendly. The pool was good! The hot tub was cool too! The exercise room as 3 pieces but it is good! The breakfast was great! It had homeade waffles and fabulous hot chocolate! It was a good quick light breakfast. We would stay here again!

Wonderful hotel, located easily off I81. Great service, comfortable room and nice staff. Very nice indoor pool. Would stay again. Comfortable beds and very clean room. No interstate noise either

the only complaint I had was that there was only one person manning the front desk at any given time and when I walked up to ask a question the poor girl was on the phone with another ringing and did not have the time for me. other than that it was great!

My wife and I liked this place a lot!!! The rooms were great! Clean and spacious!! We liked the sofa and a table to eat at! Continental breakfast was great. Service was great as well! My only dislike about this place is the pool needs some TLC. It looks as if it needs to be drained and have the walls scrubbed, painted or whatever!

Location is 15 easy minutes from downtown Scranton. Everything about Comfort Suites is first class,like it was just opened. The room they first assigned us to had a loud A/C. We asked the desk to give us another room, and after a brief scurry(the Inn was said to be sold out), they did. Front desk people were most helpful, even anticipating our requests! The only dissapointment was the resturant behind the Inn that the desk recommended. Our dinners were about a 2 on a 5 scale and expensive.

Rooms were very clean,front desk were very pleasant and helpful,would stay again. Prompt service w/towels and blankets!Beds were very comfortable and everything worked very well.

Clean and quiet place to stay. The front desk staff was very accomodating when we asked for more pillows. The only complaint we had was housekeeping knocking on the door before checkout. This was definitely a quality place to stay.

This hotel looks nice on the surface and wasn't too bad to stay in, however, there were some issues that bothered me. I travel frequently and stay in many hotels so certain things stand out. The frontdesk staff were very nice and helpful, but I did notice a tall older blond woman (manager?) pretty much berate one of them in front of guests. It was bad enough to seem unprofessional and made me as uncomfortable as it must've made the clerk. Also, the rooms were nicely laid out and well-furnished, but upon close inspection I could tell real cleanliness was an issue-- especially in the whirlpool tub (stains)and the carpet (not well-vacuumed). This seems like a decent hotel overall that is maybe having personnel issues. Not sure if I'd stay there again.
