Rivers Edge Resort, Fairbanks

Booked through the Alaskan Railroad online, when another property in Fairbanks was not available. Selected since hotel offered shuttle service to train deopt, River Cruise and Airport. Since only spending one night I was not as concerned with the hotel location or room quality (provided clean and safe). Upon arriving at the train depot hotel shuttle met us with our room keys. Each hotel room is it's own small seperate building, with about 1/3 of the rooms located on the river front. Remainder of properties (garden cottages) are along the main building and property. Room was clean and appopriately appointed for a vacation. Breakfast buffet was as expected (quality and cost) but limited non-buffet choices. Seperate resturaunt for lunch and dinner - appeared to get crowded quickly at lunch when larger tour groups returned from a morning outing; however wait staff managed well. Staff was friendly and I would recommend staying there again if on vacation.
