Terrible customer service
By william, 4/27/08
Stayed here for three days and was greatly disappointed because the pool was not open (only the slide and very small pool for it was open). The hot tub was very dirty and Luke warm. Requested additional pillows and were told that we had enough. Tried to get a remote for the TV fixed and our request was ignored. Did not have a comfortable relaxing stay. Would never stay here again.

Business Travelers Beware
By Dean S, 2/18/08
The ease of getting from one point to another in Colorado Springs was great since the hotel is near I-25 and Academy Blvd. The staff was friendly and often called you by your name. However that's were the good reviews stop. The hotel was often dirty and cleaning service was slow. I would leave my room at 10 or 11 in the morning, had the cleaning cart to the right of my door, only to return four hours later to find a unclean room. Often the bathrooms was not cleaned to my satisfaction with the bathtub/shower looking like it was overlooked. Addtionally, the maids would unplug items like lamps to use the electrical outlet for the vacuum but would fail to plug the lamp back in. The free breakfast buffet lacked many of the items that are customary to other breakfast buffets. Items such as Danishes, donuts, bagels, and eggs was not offered. The business center was a older model PC computer with a printer hooked up to it. The computer and internet were slow. For two straight weeks connection to any internet e-mail servers was blocked. Management failed to fix the situation until after several people complained over a two week period. Fax services are available but receiving is not recommended. My document would have been unreadable due to the numerous and large black streaks if only I already knew what it said. Luckily, if you do choose to stay here, there is a Fedex within a four blocks. My stay was six weeks with the hotel undergoing construction the entire time. The noise wasn't loud but it became frustrating with contractors constantly using the already slow elevator. After a week I asked how long the construction would take place, I was told for another week. Four weeks later, shame on me for not switching hotels. The hotel layed tile in the lobby my final two weeks. Understandable inconvience if only the project hadn't taken two weeks or the fact that the project wasn't being worked on. The lobby isn't big and contractors were hardly observed at the job. The last weekend of the project, the elevator and stairwell nearest the lobby was blocked off. This forced customers to walk to the far end of the building, exit the building, and walk the length of the hotel to do business with the front desk or enter the pool and laundry area. The pool would be great in the summer time since it offers a indoor and outdoor sections. The small indoor section is in use in the winter time and is taken up by a huge waterslide used by the kids. I would not recommend the pool if the waterslide is in use. If I had to do all over again, I would have my travel office book me in a different hotel. Hotels in Colorado Springs are almost a dime a dozen and all offer great rates.

great hotel, exceptiona value and service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/16/08
This hotel is everything we thought it would be. We never encountered any issues during our 3 days stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. On one occassion they went out of their way to help us find couple of things around town! The breakfast was very nice as well as the indoor pool with water slide. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

OK, but would not go back.
By Bigcountryresident, 7/29/07
We liked the location as it is close to many places to eat, a major mall, and many tourist attractions. We also liked the fact that there were to TVs in the room. Dislikes would be the continental breakfast area and the overall appearance of the interiors. The hotel is showing some age, especially in the elevators which were black, dark, and small. The breakfast room is way too small for such a high tourist area and families with children. There were only 4 to 6 tables and all four mornings we were there, it was extra crowded and not enough seating for everyone. Also, every morning, the bananas were old, blackened, and mushy. The front desk folks were very friendly as were the custodians. We paid $100/day for 3 adults so we expected it to be much nicer.

Great hotel! My family and I loved everything about the hotel. The breakfast was great, the kids loved the water slide, and the hotel was very clean. You will enjoy this hotel as much as we did!

Great Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/8/05
The staff was friendly, the rooms were very clean, and the room was great. We had a very good experience when we checked in and the price was within our companies budget. We will stay at this hotel every time we travel to Colorado Springs.

Pass Up Comfort Suites Air Force Academy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/05
After a long drive, we looked forward to a workout and a few minutes in the hot tub. To our disappointment, signs were posted on the entry to the workout area that both the indoor pool and "spa" were down for maintenance. The indoor "pool" is only large enough to accommodate a large spiral slide, not for any kind of swimming. We did use the workout equipment, which worked reasonably; however, the TV in the workout room was broken. Workout equipment is packed into a tiny workout space, making it cramped. Though the lobby looks fresh and fairly new, our first impression of our room was that it was worn. Linens were fresh and clean, but we found hair on the bathroom floor and dust on the TV cabinet, raising questions on overall cleanliness. The morning of our departure, the toilet stopped. Though we reported the stopped toilet to the desk clerk as we checked out, we were not encouraged that he was concerned or that it would be repaired soon. The complimentary breakfast is all carbs: bagels, make your own waffles, zero protein. You must walk next door to the Sleep Inn for it. We opted for IHOP up the street. It's within walking distance. There are several other hotels in the area. For the price we paid and the disappointments we encountered, we will stay somewhere else on our next vist to Colorado Springs.
