Residence Inn by Marriott Charlottesville, Charlottesville

I try to say something nice. The Residence Inn in Charlottesville VA. is located in a great location, close to stores and restaurants. I was there with a group so we had about twenty rooms. For non-smokers, this Inn advertises non-smoking environment. However, many of the rooms had stale cigar smoke leftover. Our group could not believe the lack of cleanliness. Several “guests” requested additional cleaning of the rooms. The bathrooms had left over soap in the shower and most guests needed clean sheets put on the beds. The worse part is that this Inn advertises, “Pets are welcome”. What a mistake! I would rather put up with smoking rooms then rooms with pet hairs and urine smells. Walking from the room to the pool is like walking through a zoo. Each to his own, again, I can handle smoke; pet hairs cause my allergies to react. My warning, “stay away” unless you have low standards and enjoy other peoples pets.
