Courtyard by Marriott Eugene Springfield, Springfield

This hotel is overpriced for what it offers, in relation to other hotels in Eugene. The rooms are rather small and have the feel of a budget motel rather than the midrange facility it pretends to be. The decor is dingy. The people at the front desk seemed eager to offer me whatever discount I could quality for, and it's not hard to figure out why: the regular rates are at least 30% too high. You'll get more for your money elsewhere.

Pros: - Awesome service - Very clean - FREE WiFi Internet access (rooms also have wired DSL) - Complimentary coffee/tea service in lobby - Convenient and relatively tasty breakfast buffet - Dinner room service until 9:30pm (decent prices and food) - Walking distance to food and a mini-mall (salon, liquor store, convenient stores, etc) across the street. - Coffee pot (w/ coffee & condiments) in room. - Pool & jacuzzi in great condition, room very clean and inviting. - Beds very comfortable and a lot of options for pillows! Cons: - Room service is only for dinner - No lunch - Lobby mini-market is mostly candy and alcohol, and over-priced. - Last stay: toilet bowl looked dirty and the toilet "ran" constantly so I had to shut the door when going to sleep. - No TV check-out option. - Parking lots not well-lit. I've stayed here a few times on business, and each stay has been a positive one. The service is absolutely fantastic! Always greeted with a smile (even by the maids and shuttle drivers).

We came to visit our Granddaughter. We found everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was a nice size and very comfortable. The breakfast addition was a great way to go!
