Never Again Will I Stay At Red Roof Inn!
By Suz B, 8/4/10
Recently updated means paint over mold on the bathroom ceiling..but the mold is coming through. Hair on the toilet and no one had used the bathroom yet (from our party). Reservations were for four, only two towels were in the room. Even on second day, only two towels were left. Sheets had stains on them. Beds appeared to be double beds when queens were requested. Pool was very cloudy..but didn't smell like chlorine so not sure what that was all about. This was first and last stay at Red Roof Inn anywhere for me and my family.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!
By Tori, 8/19/09
first of all i would not recommend this hotel to any,one this was my first time staying at red roof inn, needless to say ii was not impressed, the room was dirty, the BATHTUB HAD HAIR IN IT FROM PREVIOUS GUEST.!!!!! THAT'S NASTY! i MEAN LOTS OF HAIR !! there was also a drainage problem, all around it was the worst place i have ever spent the night,if first impressions are important i have been totally convinced to never stay there again., the only good thing was you didn't have to go far to find a good meal,

Im not picky but the Red Roof Inn was ridiculous!
By Brittany G, 3/23/09
We went to San Antonio on a whim & came across this hotel & since it was getting late & we werent familiar with the area we just decided to stay here. We paid $120 a night for a handicap room! They failed to tell us thats what they gave us but it was late so I didnt go get them to switch us. Plus I hate to gripe but when I saw a pile of dirt on the bathroom floor that they had just swept up & left there, plus the french fries on the ground, hair in the bed & on top of it all no coffee makers in the room or a complimentary breakfast! I told the gentleman at the front desk who was the same guy that checked us in about our problems & he could careless. No im sorry or anything. I usually just suck it up especially for one night but It was so gross I wouldnt even walk around barefoot, I hated to sleep in the nasty bed & I need to let other people know about this so it doesnt happen to some one else. Go down the street & for $150 a night you can stay at the La Quinta with nice rooms & a Complimentary Breakfast! I will never stay here again. Please save yourself & don't waste your time or money on the Red Roof Inn!

Very good stay
By libs equal cancer, 1/26/09
My significant other and I stayed at this RED ROOF last night. I called for a couple extra pillows and an ashtray.I spoke with ANDREW who told me that they would bring the items up.After a couple of hours I decided to go down to the lobby and get them myself.Andrew was very apologetic and explained to me that the managerwasn't there although he was SUPPOSE to be there much earlier and he (andrew)was the only employee there and could'nt leave the front desk.Andrew tried calling maintinance but noone answered.Andrew went above and beyond his call of duty to try to make me happy! I did finially get my items I asked for when the next shift came on! The room was clean and smelled fresh although it is a smoking room..it still smelled great.EXTREMELY comfortable pillows and good solid but not hard bed! Room set up (I.E.bed,TV,etc) was nice also. I was able to watch TV from the far side of the bed.The continental breakfast was excellent! We had a texas sized texas shaped waffle that we made ourselves!Great coffee too! We are DEFINATELY going to stay here again and once again, kudos to ANDREW for doing a great job...on his first day!!

Wow
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
This hotel has had big changes in the past few months. I stayed here this summer and had an okay time, but I just stayed again last night and I was amazed at how incredible this hotel is now. There is a new manager and a super friendly staff. All of the rooms have been remodeled, the outside was repainted, their pool has been completely redone and everyone there is just happy. I was very impressed at how different the hotel is now. It was good before, but now it is the absolute best place I have ever stayed for the price. They also have security guards at night now, too, so I feel much safer staying here and I get free wi-fi in the rooms now.

location and price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/06
excellent location and price, wife enjoyed location as she could walk to Garden Ridge shopping center, and walk back as I do not like spending hours shopping as she can do

Okay,but not going back
By amandaw, 7/6/06
The first appearances seem good. Friendly staff. No continental breakfast. The two things that were not good was that I had my baby there and when she crawled on the floor, her hands and legs were black! The other complaint is that the pool was disgusting. It had a lot of debris and the water was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom of the pool. I mentioned this to the people at the front desk and he kept smerking and saying yes ma'am. I would only recommend this hotel if you didn't have kids with you to crawl on the floor or that want to swim in the pool.

Nothing exciting
By Deborah, 3/23/06
Very few amenities in the rooms. Reasonably clean rooms. Lobby was a little shabby looking. Maid service varied depending upon the individual, I had one great attendant, one average and one less than stellar. The price was fair and reasonable though, I knew not to expect anything grandiose.
