hope I will come back sometimes...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/5/09
for me best place to visit death valley (approx. 30 minutes to death valley junction), better as to stay in furnace and I think cheaper.... nice and quiet rooms, friendly, pool, funny ducks - everything ok! that was harry from austria...

Clean and quiet
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/16/08
My friend and I recently stayed here while we went to the Amargosa Opera House in Death Valley Junction and the location was very convenient for going to the Opera House. It was much cheaper than any of the hotels in Death Valley which were also sold out when we were looking. It is a little quirky with a statue of a giant cow in front (we did love taking our pictures in front of it!) The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and quiet which was what we were looking for. The restaurant was basic diner food but good and our waitresses were fine - not a stunning dining experience but adequate. I would stay there again.

Second visit
By Leia, 1/22/07
I like that each time we were out on that lone hwy, that there was a clean/nice room available. My only disappoint in this place was the casino/bar area but since that is not my purpose for staying there when I stop in, I didn't slam the scores. The rooms were always quiet. The second visit was fun because there were role-playing old western clubs staying the same weekend.

Fun!
By NiaP, 11/15/05
Nothing. It was entertaining. There were tons of things to do.There is a duck pond, a swimming pool,a casino, and live entertainment. The waiters were polite and friendly, it was a great location for the sand dunes there.

Awesome place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/15/05
$3 Guinness, friendly staff, a pool, spa, and an awesome backdrop with the mountains, if you're driving through / past here you must stop and stay, a really good adventure here. We ended up getting free shots + cocktails too which was a nice touch. To our lovely barmaid, thanks for an evening Geoff, Patrick and Andrew won't forget!

Restaurant Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/8/05
We only visited the casino and ate in the restaurant. It was nice to find it there, in the middle of nowhere. The grounds are beautiful and the casino is neat and cute, too bad the machines are not "ticket in - ticket out". The restaurant food was good, however, the service was less than professional. The waitress was not at all pleasant, forgot things we asked for, took the plates away without asking if we were finished, and the coffee pot she plopped on the table was in dire need of washing. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but someone should teach her some better waitressing skills.
