How can you not Love this Place?

My wife and I just returned from the RIU Palace Macao and we are already missing it. I really don't see how anyone can write a negative review on this Hotel. The Grounds are very well maintained, the pool (though small) is always nice and clean and our rooms were beautiful, the mini bar well stacked and the maid service excellent. I found the food to be quite good and their was a selection for everyone. You must be ultra picky if you can't find something good to eat at this place. We didn't eat at any of their specialty restaurants, however that was due to the outstanding food they always had at the main buffet and it wasn't necessary. The thing that stood out more than anything at the Palace Macao was the staff. Man, I tell you. These folks bent over backwards to ensure that anything we needed was available to us. I found it incredible that despite the long shifts and hours these folks work, that they remain sincerely friendly and always with a smile on their face. The guys that serve you drinks at the pool (Antionito, Jose, etc) are out in the Hot sun from sunrise to sunset bringing you any thing you want to drink, always with a joke or a good word. Then, you would see these same folks in the evening, dressed in Tuxedoes working the bar and bringing you drinks with the same enthusiasm. One evening, my sister-in law commented to one of the girls who serve drinks how pretty the earrings she was wearing were. The very next evening, the young lady, while working comes over to my sister-in-law and hands her a small box with the same earrings, and tells her, this is for you. It was the same earrings, and she refused to take a penny for them. We have stayed in sveral RIU's around Latin America, but the incredible service, kindness, dedication and sincerity of the staff at the RIU Macao was the best I've ever experienced. On our last day there we went around to say goodbye to everyone and of course to Tip many of them (of course you don't have to, but man how can you not after the way they treated you) and the hugs and goodbyes were truly heart felt and one of them literally got emotional at our leaving. So folks, Listen carefully. If you want to stay in a place where you are truly going to be treated like family, relax, laugh, eat, drink and just have a fabulous vacation, DONOT, and I mean DONOT hesitate to go to the RIU Palace Macao in Punta Cana. I'm am already looking forward to planning my next trip there.
