Best Western Suites Near Opryland, Nashville

We visit Nashville a couple of times a year since our daughter lives there, and we've been looking for a nice hotel to return to on our visits. We thought we had found it with this Best Western until we were packing to leave, and my wife couldn't find her bottle of perfume. We searched the room, and couldn't find it. We came to the conclusion that it must have been stolen by the maid, because we hadn't smelled the perfume when we had returned to the room the evening before. If the maid had broken the bottle, we thought we would surely smell it. So, when we checked out, and the woman behind the desk asked us how our stay went, my wife started to tell her about the missing perfume. Suddenly, the manager, who had been waiting on another customer, jumped into our conversation, and began almost shouting at us that the maid had found the bottle of perfume broken, and had called him up to the room to verify it, and that he would vouch for the maid's honesty. When we could get a word in, we told him the bottle was not broken when we left the room. He insisted that he trusted the maid's word on this, which basically meant he was calling my wife and me liars. I might add that the customer that he had been waiting on had a very shocked look on her face, and the female employee who had originally been waiting on us also looked very uncomfortable. This happened last July. We just returned home from visiting our daughter at Christmas, and we did not stay at this Best Western, and we never will again.

I prepaid my reservations for 3 suites for 2 nights. So arriving late would not be an issue. I arrived late, my friends joining us arrived about an hour later. I had extra people and did a head count and let the front desk know...no problem so far. at 6 AM my 17 yr old son wakes me up because something is biting him. BED BUGS! He was sleeping in the pullout couch. he's got 3 areas of bug bites swelling up. I notified the front desk..they say "we don't have bed bugs" Then what is biting my son? I investigate the room and find a dead bedbug on the air conditioner, take photos and photos of the bites, put them on my laptop and take it downstairs. I put the dead bug in a cup, take it down to the manager who snatches it away from me. Says they'll call Terminex. I have to ASK them to move me to another room. And later that day Terminix sprayed our old room. No apology, no offer of restitution for at least 1 night for my room, no help moving me to another room, and I've only had 3 hours sleep!!!After all I am paying for 3 suites for 2 nights! I am not getting any where with hotel, so I figure I'll let AM EX handle it. The manager responds to AmEx that my problem was not bed bugs, but that I complaining about paying for extra people. Ya don't call Terminex and move me to another room if my problem is paying for extra people. Next round with Am EX the management now admits I had a bed bug, but that it was from outside. Oh, and that Terminex had sprayed that day...DUH.. could it be they sprayed that day because my son was bitten????

I have to say this was the nicest and cleanest motel I have stayed in for quite awhile. The staff was very friendly. The price was reasonable. When I return to Nashville again I will certainly stay there once more.

After reading lots of negative reviews for hotels in the Nashville area, we arrived without reservations and decided on the Best Western Suites at Opryland. We definitely made a great decision. The rooms were clean, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and we were convenient to something interesting for everyone from my 9-year-old son to 68-year-old father!!! When we're back in Nashville, we will definitely stay again!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Suites in Opryland in Nashville because the employees are Excellent, service very good, the room very comfortable. Location close to resturants, malls and attractions. If we ever go back to Nashville again we will be back at Best Western Suites in Opryland.

My two biggest complaints were that you had to wait until 3pm to check in and that, in order to cancel, you had to give 72 hours notice....... Both of these issues arose and made for an unenjoyable hotel experience. I'll be sure to stay at more flexible hotels in the future.......
