Super 8 Clinton, Clinton

I will be staying with Clinton super 8 whenever i have to stay in clinton, arkansas. Staff is nice, and has great sense of humor. They are not affraid to make converstation with quests... will remember you from one stay to another and will treat you like you stay with them every day of the week. wonderful for groups stay or just for a weekend stay, or even for weeks at a time! Could not ask for a better location of a hotel so close to WALMART and even close to post office and hospital if needed.. House Keeping staff make sure your stay will be great and make sure they clean very well, and you do not want disturbed they will not distub you but front desk sees you and know you requested not to have service if you come into lobby will ask how everything in your room is going and if you need anything....

Room was clean and staff was friendly. We where just passing though, convenience of a Wal Mart store right next to the hotel. Just had to walk to Wal Mart to get us something to eat, and not get back in the car.

We stayed there with a group of girls (ages 8 - 13). Nothing special, but average for a Super 8. We had a problem with the owners at the swimming pool area. The man and a teenager and a boy about 4/5 years old took their swim trunks off as they got out of the pool. The younger boy was allowed to run around with nothing on at all, the man and teenage boy wrapped their towels around before they dropped their swim trunks, then stepped in their dry shorts, but the towel was barely hanging on and our girls were exposed to thing that we didn't want them exposed to. Very disappointed in the owners for this behavior. I'm sure there's a culture difference, but this was riduculous.

If this is the only place you have to stay then stay, but beware as of 2008 we have stayed a couple of times and the rooms were filthy! Bathroom(s) were not clean. Had not been cleaned, but had fresh towels!! Hair everywhere! The coffee maker had dust standing on it and the lid of the coffee pot had dried "something" on it. The tray it was setting on had coffee grounds on it, so it had not been changed or wiped down. Carpet were fair, but we wore slippers when ever we could because of the other dirty places. We weren't sure about the bedding, it sure didn't feel clean and the pillows were as flat as a pancake! If I every have to stay again, I will go armed with cleaning supplies and ask for the vacuum. AND Believe me---I am not that picky! I can usually adjust to almost anything, but this is a bit ridiculous for Super 8.

The room was OK, No in room coffee! When we checked in although we had a reservation for a king we were given a queen double. After going back to the office this was changed and we recieved a king room that was in the process of being cleaned even though it was after check in time. The front desk was obviously having a problem with the staff as they were having a meeting about the speed of cleaning the rooms. I would stay here again just because of the location but i wasn't impressed with the staff or the management. The ice machine worked sometimes and didn't others. And the lack of the in room coffee is a definate downer!
