One of our 3 worst-ever hotel experiences
By Randy, 3/13/12
We stayed one night because we had a coupon from one of the travel and lodging brochures, and would never recommend this place to anyone. The brochure promised a hot breakfast complete with biscuits and gravy. The truth was cereal and meal, and orange colored water instead of juice. The water in the pool and hot tub was grey and murky. The pool room floor had half-inch deep standing muddy water. The room itself was unpleasant as there was no vent to circulation any of the humidity out of the room. The back door to the hotel had been propped open with a rock creating an insecure situation. My recommendation: a complete renovation and new owner/manager to bring it back up to standards.

Pay MORE, expect LESS and be treated like a FOOL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/11
I'm not sure who to blame. I booked and payed for my room via priceline. Around $200 dollars plus tax. No problem, until I checked out and saw they charged to my credit card an additional $147.50. I was told I had to pay sales tax, AGAIN, room surcharge fees, city taxes, environmental fees, this fee that tax. Making it worse, the staff at the front desk were condescending and well rehhearsed with back talk. They have been through this before. I had to catch the train so I could'nt stay and argue. Back home I got intouch with the hotels corporate offices and was told each hotel was responsible for itself and was directed to priceline. At priceline I got the runaround. The bottom line, I never got satisfaction, nobody tried to make it right. I felt decived. I would have been happy with a future discount, a sorry about the misunderstanding sir. But nothing, I was treated like a fool.

Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here.
By NayNay, 8/22/11
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is rude, the hot tub is always broken and no one is working on it, they just leave it sitting there full of water getting more disgusting by the day. The rooms are not stocked with towels they put one in there for a two occupancy room. The shower leaks all over the floor. The pool is not really heated. And the worst part is that in an attempt to cover up the old musty smell of this really old hotel, the cleaning personnel spray air freshener in excess into the air conditioning vents and every time the air kicks on in your room you get to choke on the overwhelming smell of the air freshener. It was so bad that it woke me from a sound sleep every ten to fifteen minutes until i figured out where it was coming from and could turn the air off and open the window to breath again. The whole place is just awful. The location is good, but there are at least 5 other hotels within the block that I am sure are worth the extra cost.

Thanksgiving was a breeze.
By J., 1/3/09
I went to Flagstaff to visit family this thanksgiving and staying at the sleep inn was great. The price I booked online was the price I was charged. Nice clean, quiet room, warm indoor pool ( I was the only guest but they told me my whole family was welcome to use the pool and hot tub). A hot breckfast every morning, all the coffee and juice I wanted. A truly great experiance. The staff was very friendly and I told them I would write a good review for them. I'll be back.

Great Hotel !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/5/07
It was my first stay at a Sleep Inn. I had read some reviews about the Inn, some good some bad. It was located in the perfect spot for my stay, so I decided to make a reservation. The room was great, the indoor simming pool was great. They even let me check in early. After a long drive it felt good to relax in a room and enjoy the spa. It was a good experience. The breakfast was adequate in the am. What more could I possibly want! I will stay at a Sleep Inn again.

Excellent location, great place and staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/07
This hotel was located close to lots of nice restraunts, shopping, and there is no train noise. We really enjoyed our stay because the staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care off.

Definitely would not recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/07
Room rate was $143 for 2 adults, 2 beds - not nearly as nice as less expensive motels we stayed in - ad on internet says rooms from $80 - hate to think what the $80 rooms are like, if they even exist. First room we were assigned had not been cleaned or made up. No tub, no fridge, no microwave, no table and chairs, breakfast not worth going to - all things I would have expected for the high price we paid.

The hotel was comfortable and the rooms of a good standard. Unfortunately, the pool and spa were not in operation which was a disappointment.

Great Motel!
By Ittybritkitty, 2/18/07
Comparing this place to the Motel 6 (on the same street), this place is outstanding. We booked a room at the Motel 6 a week earlier ... see my review about that motel ... appalling! Blllarrrgh! Found out that snowbowl was closed so we decided to return several days later after a snow storm. Booked in at the Sleep Inn 2nd time around. The receptionist was very quick to book us in. Very informative too about the area and snowbowl. Very polite and friendly. The lobby and eating area was in good condition. The room itself was extremely clean. I can be fussy. The furniture was in good condition. The room even had a safe, hairdryer, ironing board and iron and a coffee pot to boil water in which they don’t have at Motel 6. Breakfast was free. Room was much better and was bigger than the Motel 6 and had facilities in the room that the Motel 6 did not. Did not smell either!! I think that this room cost only $2 more than the Motel 6 room and was very much well worth it! Did not hear any trains. The freeway is close but you really do not hear it. We slept very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
